Guest guest
I need some advice... in case you don't know, Isabella is in a waterproof cast for the summer since we aren't getting the correction we need, and ever since vacation, (when we were constantly in water), her cast has felt really flimsy and tonight I noticed that it is broken. It's holding together but you can see where it has split cause it's bending down but is being held together with the tape. We are due to get a new cast in 2 weeks... should I let it go, call, or what do you think would be best? Guest guest
Londynn broke her cast last time - but we did not have a waterproof - not sure if that makes a difference - they had us duct tape the break - although we think that during the time it was broken and not taped it may have shifted a little - she wore it taped for a couple of weeks but it seemed like it was rubbing as she was getting some sores - so we opted (with permission from our docs) to remove her cast a week and a half before her next casting to make sure her skin was clear. I have to admit it was nice having her all squishy for that time - and baths wonderful. I would call your center for advice on what they would like you to do. Where is it broken at? Londynn's was broken even with her armpit into the center cutout.
