Guest guest
First, I wanted to thank all of you who sent me emails to give me support for today! It truly made a difference in how I was able to get through today!! Shriner's Chicago was fabulous!!! The nurse(G.E.) was so caring!!! She put us and Massi at ease! When they gave him the medicine in pre/op to relax him we actually had some moments to laugh. Massimo would look at us and then laugh! He was acting totally intoxicated! The procedure was fairly quick. When we say him, it was hard. He did well with the anesthesia and was able to drink water and milk. After the nurse did the petaling we went home...the next adventure! When we got him, Massi was so tired. Thankfully we all took a nap. When he got up he was not doing so well. He could not stand up or sit up because he would fall over. I was freaking out! My husband as beside himself! I took him for a walk in the stroller and when we came back in, he started to walk and talk to me! I was so happy. He was his usual self. He even could get up from a sitting position! He ate a big dinner and after we put his big brother's pj's on, he is now asleep! Thank you all so much!!! - mom to Massimo( 14 months old),40* out of cast, waiting to hear measurements tomorrow for in cast.
