Guest guest
Well last night was sure a sleepless one. I was so nervous. Anyway we arrived this morning at 615am to Strong Memorial in Rochester. We were taken back immediately to the pre-op area. I have never seen so many people..we were surrounded by doctors and nurses. They let me go back with Amaya while she was given sevo and then I left, that was a big relief for me, (not sure how other people would deal with that) The cast was applied and approx. 90 minutes later Dr. R came out and told us her curve was at 50* without the cast and with the cast her was able to get it to 16* WOW!!! I was so happy, then she was off to have her MRI. About 2 hours later I went back to PACU to a cranky baby who seemed so heavy. We left about an hour later. She did vomit several times, just saliva and a little juice they gave her on the way home. So now we are home and she is lying on the couch. I can tell you she is wobbley. She gets stuck in the recliner so now she is on the couch with her pillow and blankie. She really hasn't fussed at all about the cast and I hope she adapts to this, well should I say I adapt to this soon. Thanks everyone for all your help these past few weeks, it was greatly appreciated. Tammy
