That would be the best news if she is self resolving- and it does happen in 80-90 perecent of cases, I think roughly...I'm sure her hips have been thoroughly checked. Just popped into my head because my niece had that- hip dysplasia and scoli can occur together. I'm sure you will keep a close eye if her curves begin to progress. I would just stay on top of it, the curve can get worse with a growth spurt, but if she is self resolving, you may just have your angel for your angel : ) Heidi, Bexon's Mommy, (3 years old, in 7th cast from Salt Lake City Shriners, currently down from 62 degrees to 19.7 in cast)

I'm curious if anyone has gone through the same thing? My daughter Ariana was diagnosed with scoliosis at 4 months and put in brace at 5 months she is now 15 months not walking yet due to leg length difference which causes her to be unbalanced(gets PT 1x a week). She was considered progressive at her visit before her last one where they discouvered that she had now grown a double curve both at 21 degrees.but her last visit surprised everyone including Dr. because it went down to a 15 & 10 degree curves. But my question is has anyone had this happen to their child with it going back? She has not grown at all (29in.) since her 1 year check up and i'm wondering if that could be the reason? So the doctor postponed put on the cast.Should I still be worried that it can start growing again once she starts growing again or just believe she has an angel watching over her? Thanks for any

input,Mandy

Thank you for the info.I sure hope it's an angel. She gets checked every three months right now.I would have to say she has one of the best doctors in the country Dr. .He is teaching the new casting technique to the University of Rochester formally from shriners in PA and across the country.Again thanks,Mandy

Mandy,

My daughter is 2 1/2 and not walking. She does have a leg difference, and I

think they will eventually put something in a shoe to even things out.

Hi Mandy,

I would def. believe she has angel or 2 watching over her....But, I was

also keep a very close eye on her back because it can progress with

growth. Either way, she has a few angels including the doc in NY who will

monitor her very closely...She is in good hands.

Hi Mandy,

We see the same doc and I'm in Jersey near NYC.... Noelle's scoli did improve and then 3 months later regressed again. Our doc also put off the cast in the hopes that she was a self-resolver. Unfortunatley in our case, this wasn't true and we did have to go ahead with casting. But, please keep in mind that the vast majority of kids diagnosed with IS do resolve all on their own and there is no reason to give up hope! I will pray that this is the case for you and your baby and please keep us updated as all good news is so uplifting! Good luck!- Noelle's mommy, 3 years oldRochester NYCasted 8 times for 1 1/2 years and in first brace!reflux, mild plagiocephaly, mild torticollos, hypotonia, ligament laxity, suspected Ehler's Danlos III
