Hi ,

Great to hear you're making a big batch now, it's so much easier isn't it!

When Eleanor was seriously affected, we worked up to 8oz a day of juice, not sure what that would be in mls.

I can't remember how long I took to get up to this level, but I do remember that I didn't mess around, I raised it as quickly as I could.

We reduced to a 4oz serving as she improved, which she continues to this day. I'm sorry I can't remember how long it took for her seizure activity

to diminish, but it wasn't a huge length of time. Sorry I'm not much help!

Juicing (Joy?)

Hi Joy,

it's a while back, but since reading your brilliant suggestion of doing a large batch of juice and freezing it, I've been trying it. I started cautiously in case of fallout (ie seizures) and we're now up to 20ml. I have to syringe it in though, as he refuses point blank to drink it himself. He seems to be getting used to the taste!

We did SCD for a year but it didn't seem to make a huge difference, and looking through my records it struck me the real improvements happened while I was juicing... I just couldn't keep it up though, not having thought of the freezing solution!

What I'm wondering is what quantity you give every day, and how long did it take to see an improvement in seizures? Our son has nonconvulsive seizure activity during sleep (landau kleffner syndrome) so it's hard to tell if something is helping or hindering - it takes a while for improvements to show after reduced activity.

any thoughts welcome!

thanks,
