Guest guest
I had my appt. today and the Dr. has scheduled a saline suppression test for next week. he told me he would feel more comfortable confirming the Dx with that test then he would begin regimen of Spiro or the other drug that starts with an " e " . He warned me tho if i do not respond to those medications very well then he would suggest the AVS and we would go from there. but he said it probably would not come to that. i asked him, what if the saline suppression comes back negative? what then. he said then he would have to dig deep and find out what the heck is wrong with me b/c he hates that i walk around with outrageous blood pressure. i am assuming i am pretty text book b/c he called all my blood work " red flags " . we also discussed how my potassium is rising each time i get blood work done now b/c i have stopped running. he wants me to begin running again but told me not to over do it b/c i would probably lose my potassium fast again. I had urinalysis done, and i don't understand any of it... some abnormal stuff but nothing serious..... 38yrs Aldostrone 30 (?-28) high Renin .38 (.25-5.89) low/normal Aldo/PRA ratio 78.9 (0.9-28.9) high CT normal Saline Suppression scheduled for June
