To be clear We are talking about two different tests. To get to

Confirmatory testing one has to have aldo renin tested. If this is above 20 or

some labs it has to be 70 then you have possible PA. If you have possible PA

then they do what this study is about the Confirmatory testing.

In both tests some can have testing done on all meds and have positive test

results for others the meds need to be stopped. IAs of yet I don't think there

is a way to see who needs to stop meds.

Tests cost money and if a test done on meds says you don't have PA Dr isn't

likey to retest you. That is now my problem.

First, please note that I NEVER used the word " NO " ! It was either " YES " or

" MORE TESTING REQUIRED " !

If you really want to understand it, refer to section 5 in " Aldosterone Causes

of Hypertension " in our file. Table 3 tells you what each class of med will do

and Dr. Moraitis explains the process.

It isn't you that said but many in group have had there Dr say no. Just like

mine did again today.

Well if they stop half way through testing they are doing half-assed testing and

will likely get the wrong answer every time! Like the old saying goes, " If you

don't have time to do it right how will you have time to do it over! " That's

when you look for a new doctor!
