Guest guest
Alyssa,From what I've heard on this group and experienced, it is very common/normal to not want to take your child back for that next cast- especially on the first cast change. Those soft squeezes and hugs are precious!! You ARE doing the right thing, though, for sure. We have been trying to spend as much time outside and in water. We played in the sprinkler, the bath, a baby pool and even went to a water park today. She is exhausted. We live in Alabama so it is extremely hot right now so I think the heat and all the activity wore her out. We go in tomorrow at 6 am so wish us luck. I will update the numbers.Like I have read before on this group. You forget how much you miss holding your child without the cast. She was so light and soft. I felt like I was going to break her when I picked her up. I have had my ups and downs the past 36 hours as to if this was the right thing. I miss all of the things that we have been able to do but I know that this is the right thing. Guest guest
Alyssa,I hope everything went well today and you get the numbers your hoping for. You are doing the right thing. I think we all believe the summer is when it is especially hard. This road we are on is long and can be bumpy at times but it is the right direction. Hang in there and update when you can.Amy J mom to Allie(4) in forth cast down to 15* from 56* Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerryFrom: Alyssa <rogersalyssa12@...>Sender: infantile scoliosis treatment Date: Thu, 08 Jul 2010 19:01:51 -0700 (PDT)<infantile scoliosis treatment >Reply infantile scoliosis treatment Subject: 2nd casting tomorrow had her 1st cast removed Wednesday and a new one will be put on tomorrow.
