We love the Discovery Center downtown!  Also, they have the Olympic Fountains.  They shoot up water from the ground, it is free and seems to attract a lot of kids!  We took the FREE train to it from our Hotel.  : )   Eli had a blast!  Hope that helps!  Have a great trip!  I wanted to go to the Zoo last time, but just couldn't fit it in!  We haven't been there yet. Let us know how that is.  ; )

We love the children's museum and zoo as well.

We also like the Red Butte Gardens. http://www.redbuttegarden.org/

And there's also a very tourist-friendly area called Thanksgiving Pointe. It's outside of the city though so you'd need a rental car. They have a farm, dinosaur center, children's garden and other things. It's fun, but pretty spendy.

If you're staying in a hotel - check the lobby or at the front desk for brochures as they often have coupons in them.

One more thing for anyone traveling to SLC...you have to try "The Pie." Our othotist recommended it once and we get pizza from there everytime we're in town now : )~Noah 4 1/2 years old9 months of casting in SLC; 2 1/2 years of bracing; Currently treatment-free at 8*And Mariella 16 months old - resolved Infantile Scoliosis

On this last trip that we took we stayed an extra day. We went to the Zoo, the Children's Museum, and also there was an art festival going on while we were there so we went there too. There was an advertisement in one of the hotel magazines I was looking at for the Thanksgiving Museum I think it was called. Also if you have the cast off when you get there I saw an ad for a Waterpark in SLC. We like to make every trip fun so we may try a couple of these things next time.Beth RettingerMother of In Third Cast From SLC

What hotel did you stay at? My understanding is that the train is only free in

certain areas of downtown. We might get purple again because we really like it

on Audrey. Have you tried turquois? We definitely will not do pink again - way

too bright.

got enough for several trips now
