Hey I did the Pink Pilates this AM - it is Mari and I love it!fyi also did my spin class yesterday..........hoping to exercise everyday! From: Pink <pinkpussycat@...> Sent: Tuesday, July 28, 2009 1:40:16 PMSubject: Geoff / Hare and

Pilates Week

Is the workout itself just called "Hare" or is it simply in the hare category? I don't have many Firm's of the tortoise and hare genres and am always a bit confused by them.

What pilates tapes will you use? I'm just loving Mari Windsor! She kicks ass! I hope when I'm in my late 50's I am still kicking people's asses too!

It is just "Hare." Just like its companion workout is just "Tortoise. There are workouts that are categorized as "Hare" or "Tortoise" because they are similar in format. For others who are completely confused, both are aerobic weight training (AWT) workouts but Hare workouts (like the original "Hare") are 75% cardio & 25% weights and "Tortoise" workouts are 25% cardio and 75% weights. Both are likely to use the same size weights though (which confused me at first, I thought Hare meant lighter weights, until I did "Hare" that is).

I'm so proud of myself. A year ago, I didn't have a clue what Hare & Tortoise were beyond animals and the old Aesop's fable (I think it was Aesop anyway). I have a ton of Mari Winsor tapes (got a set at a yard sale for $5 a few years ago) but have only done the beginner one so far. Pilates in general kicks my butt (or core anyway) which obviously means I need to do more of it!

And , I have no doubt that even when you are in your late 90s you will still be kicking people's asses!

It's called the Hare. The Firm about 11 or 12 years ago did two videos one was called the tortosie while the other was called the Hare.

Don't know what Pilaties videos I'll do. I think I have a Mari Windsor tape boxed up. I need to take a look.
