Guest guest
I am going to be making diapers for my granddaughter when she gets her first cast in August. The pattern I use now is Trimsies and is low cut under the belly, but the back comes up higher to the waist. Do I need to make them lower or change them in anyway? It looks like the casts fit very snugly at the hips. Can the diaper fit under the cast? Are paper diapers easier to use? Thanks for your help! Guest guest
I cloth diapered in the cast so it is totally possible. I used flip diapers http://www.cottonbabies.com/product_info.php?products_id=2157 and set them to the infant setting so they say low under the cast because as you said the hips are very tight, and I find the cloth diapers to be bulkier then disposables. If you want I can send you pictures of my son in his cloth diapers so you can see how I got them to fit best. I never had any leaking or blow outs up the cast with either cloth or disposables. I will say the cloth diapers were impossible with the brace because it is lower. email me directly if you want to chat or want pictures. jennifer.leggett@...
