Guest guest
Hi Sara!Good week!! I felt the same way about Personal Training - it had some good exercises, but for some reason it didn't click for me. I think I'll give it another go, though and see if I feel any differently about it. I think my complaint was that there weren't enough reps to feel the exercises, even though they were good choices of exercises to do. You may like her 2 Week Turn Around workouts - I do! Oooh - tell me more about Discountworkouts.com and their TM workouts! Since doing the Couch Potato to 5K I'm enjoying my TM more. I think the "potato" comes from the expression "couch potato". Going back to an earlier discussion about body types and workout preferences and what comes naturally to some of us, I actually enjoy running and it suits me pretty well - so doing C25K isn't torture. I have more of a 'runners' build - I'm definately not built for power - more for endurance - so I wouldn't be a good sprinter, but I'd be better at long distance runnning. The push-up challenge has been torture, but once I got past being able to do 15 in a row it has gotten much easier and last week I actually got all my reps in! Oh, re: Shenan - I learned she enjoys something else - digging in a sandbox! We finally got my DD a swing set for the yard - and underneath is a sandbox - well, guess who just loves to dig and make nests in it? We also learned that she is afraid of the weed whacker. I think it is the noise - she is very sensitive to noises and hates - rain, thunderstorms, the vaccuum, the lawn mower, the weed whacker, the smoke detector, etc. Take care!Donna From: Sara <sjajsa@...>Subject: Freytag week Date: Sunday, June 21, 2009, 12:01 AM Hi All, This week was Freytag week for me, and it went pretty well! I really liked 3-2-1 Workout, and was looking forward to her Personal Training workout, too. I didn't click with the Personal Training workout, but it does have a nice mix and match feature in the menu, and there are lots of ways to customize your workout - as well as several suggested rotations. Shortcuts to Big Weight Loss was pretty good, but I liked the Cardio Sculpt and Kickbox Sculpt sections much better than the Pilates Sculpt section, of course, lol. But it's a nice outside-my-box workout to keep in my collection. I don't know that I'll be keeping Personal Training, though. And I don't get rid of many workouts! ;)The best news of the week for me is that I discovered that I really, really enjoy the 30 minute treadmill workouts from Discountworkouts. com! I started with my first one last Fri. And also used them on Sun, Tues, and Thurs this week because I enjoyed the workouts so much and wanted to try each of them ASAP. Normally I only use my treadmill once a week, so this was quite a record. I also have 60 minute workouts from them to try, but I'm going to stick with the 30 minute videos for a while first. I think I'll repeat one of these on Sunday, too.So my week looked like this:Sun - 30 min Beginner treadmill, vol 1 workout 2Mon- Prevention 3-2-1Tues - 30 min Beginner treadmill, vol 2 workout 1 Wed – Prevention Personal TrainingThurs -30 min Beginner treadmill, vol 2 workout 2 Fri – 20 minutes elliptical intervalsSat – Prevention Shortcuts to Big Weight LossNext week is Cathe week for me, using some of her "easier" titles. I'm looking forward to it!Happy Sunday, all!Sara
