Guest guest Posted April 2, 2012 Report Share Posted April 2, 2012 *Dear Colleagues* * * In a major attempt to emphasize the importance of research and evidence-based practical information in advancing all aspects of tennis performance, the *Journal of Sports Science and Medicine* will publish a *Special Issue on Tennis *in early 2013. Tennis is one of the few sports in the world that requires very high levels of all major components of fitness: strength, speed, agility, power, or aerobic endurance. Moreover, Tennis is one of the world’s most popular sports enjoyed by millions of people of all ages and abilities. In order to help players, coaches seek assistance from the vast amount of technical coaching information that is available in the market in the form of books, journals or websites. This special issue of the *Journal of Sports Science and Medicine* calls on authors to submit original research and specific reviews that enriches the current understanding of tennis performance.
