Guest guest
I posted a couple months ago about how my friend's son just recently got diagnosed with infantile scoliosis. I couldn't believe that I knew someone else who had a child with this condition. Anyways, they just had their first visit at the South Carolina Shriners. Her son's curve has remained the same (~24 degrees) although the RVAD has increased a little. The doctor is hopeful it will still decrease on it's own, but wants to keep a close eye on it with x-rays every month for a while. She said she was very happy with the doctor and feels like they are in good hands now. I hope they do not have to go through the casting like my son did, but at least they have detected it early and are seeing the right doctor. I am confident her son's spine will be cured (whether it does it on it's own or needs casting).
