Guest guest
Hi, I never did get a chance to post Wednesday's workout - one of those days! Anyway, here's what I did on Wed and Today: Wed: Couch Potato to 5K - week 2, workout 1 - 90 sec of jogging/running alternating w/ 2 min of walking for 20 min. I also warmed up for 10 min - walking and gradually increasing my pace. And "cooled" down for an additional 5 min. So overall a 35 min session on the TM - I did 3 miles in that amount of time. Then, I added on Classical Stretch Fully Body Workout # 1. Thurs: I woke up a bit later, felt tired (this is my busiest month at work, and it is wearing me down!) so I did something with no-dread - Ellen Barrett's/Crunch Fat Burning Pilates. I toyed with the idea of adding some mat work on to that, but decided that the work I did in FB Pliates was sufficient for today. I *may* try to squeeze in 10 or 20 min of mat work later, but my DD is off from school for the next week and a half (camp starts June 29th), and I have to work at home today plus balance all my mom duties! Fortunately, I have a supply of crafts for her to do while I work! So, it may not happen. I would like to get my push-ups in though. I FINALLY feel that I'm making progress with them. And, when I looked back at what I was doing during Week 1 of the program (in January) and what I can do here at Week 4 (yes, it is taking me way longer than 6 weeks to reach 100 push-ups!) it is amazing!! And, from an aesthetic perspective, in spite of not doing very much with weights since September, my arms are as toned and muscular, if not more so, than when I was doing weights. The push-ups and pull-downs really do the job! Tomorrow is my long cardio day - I have planned Couch Potato to 5K again (same workout) and will stay on the TM for some additional walking. Then, I'll add on either some Classical Stretch or Pilates. Oh - best news of all - yesterday's running did NOT bother my hips. I was getting worried b/c they were bothering me on Monday - but I think my back just needed to be adjsuted b/c once I went to the chiro my hip pain disappeared! The trouble is, my back goes "out" a lot and needs to be adjusted a lot - though, not as much as it used to. I manage to be able to hold it together now for serveral days instead of just a couple of hours. Hope everyone has a good day!!
