Guest guest
Hello everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has given pediasure to there kids. Thaddeus and I both got food poisening and now i cant get him to really eat anything. He is drinking some formula and apple juice but not really eating any foods. We cant afford to have him loose any weight because he is just under 18lbs and hes now 14 months, Any ideas would be great. Thanks Mom To Thaddeus 14months
Guest guest
,I gave it to the boys a few of times, but buying for two was getting expensive so their pediatrician told me that Carnation Instant Breakfast is also something very similar at a lower price. The boys LOVED it!I also had ECI(Early Childhood Intervention)recommend it as well for . He has always been underweight. Guest guest
Well never drank formula well and does not like milk. I was hoping he would drink more of them, but would only do one a day. on the other hand I had to limit. Yes on the weight gain! But not the right child. LOL!Ask his pediatrician about how many a day. I would have let drink them all day long if he liked milk.TashaMommy of 4 year old twin boys- and Fort Worth, TexasSeries of 6 casts for 14 months. Guest guest
, So sorry you both had food poisoning!! Bleah!! To get Todd eating again after tummy illness, I've had good luck with frozen things. He loves ice chips, so that gets water in him. He also likes strawberry " ice cream " --put some frozen strawberries (about 1.5 cups) and a room-temp banana in the food processor, wait about 15 minutes to let the berries soften a teeny bit, and whir til smooth. You can put a little milk and sugar in it, too. The leftovers make great popsicles! You can also try other frozen fruits, or you can freeze applesauce into popsicles. Maybe regualr milkshakes would be good, too--you could add peanut butter which will give him protein as well as calories. Good luck! I hope he gets his appetite back soon. , Mommy to Todd On Tue, Mar 30, 2010 at 9:44 PM, <candice_welch85@...> wrote: Thanks Tasha. Did you just do one a day?? Guest guest
, I was told when Hayden was 1, to only give a half or whole one each day and no more than that. It is very filling and I don't think their little digestive systems could tolerate too much, but as Tasha stated, ask your Ped for sure. Hayden loves it and calls it choc milk even though it isn't choc flavored that we buy. Guest guest
Pediasure is great...if your kiddo will drink it. Grant never would and I've never really needed to with Grace, she's always been on her own curve, and no extreme issues with weight.I would suggest trying mashed potatoes and instead of using margarine and milk use real butter and heavy cream. It will add a ton of calories and make it yummy too. Mashed potatoes are very easy to digest too. Most doctor's will recommend not giving straight dairy products after a tummy bug as it can be hard to digest.Hope you find something that helps. Guest guest
, Pedisure is great! Isaiah is soooo very much a picky eater and hates new things but he will drink the vanilla Pedisure just fine and i think it has helped him to gain maybe a little weight. Its also lactose free so it shouldnt irritate his stomach. Good Luck! Hope you both feel better soon! > From: Jane Bigler <janemhar@...> > Subject: Re: Pediasure > infantile scoliosis treatment > Date: Tuesday, March 30, 2010, 10:38 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > Pediasure is > great...if your kiddo will drink it.
