Guest guest
Jerry Telle: The eccentrics we are considering may not only cause IIB hypertrophy but may also influence inhibitors to max contraction speeds. ----- SP: True - plus eccentrics seem to involve some unique recruitment patterns. Definitely an area worth studying. Jerry Telle: -- I have little knowledge of tapering. It seems that if performance improves with the IIB training then different tapering paradigms may be in order. ----- SP: I know tapering seems to be one of those things we hear about a lot, but don't see so much. Based on my experience with coaches, many of those who try to do it are unclear on the concept. A few months ago I took a stab at summarizing the main do's and dont's: http://excelsiorsports.blogspot.com/2008/12/tapering.html Inigo Mujika just published a book entitled " Tapering & Peaking for Optimal Performance " . He has researched this topic in depth and is one of the main sources I leaned on for that article. Regards, Plisk Excelsior Sports •Shelton CT www.excelsiorsports.com Prepare To Be A Champion!
