Linette, and everyone, thank you so much for sharing this.

I have also found that allowing myself the foods

I really like to eat, I am eating less of them but

really savoring them and enjoying them without

the guilt and the 'stinking thinking " that used to

come along with allowing myself the foods I really like.

I believe God gave us all taste buds to really savor and

enjoy our foods, and each of us like different foods because

we are all unique as He made us lol.

Love to all,

had to share

Hello Everyone!

I'm having a great day and I just had to share 2 excellent things that have

happened today:

1) Putting on some jeans fresh from the laundry and finding them loose, where

previously they'd been tight. I wore them out, and I keep having to heave them

up! Sure enough, jumping on the scale confirms that with the podcasts and no

particular effort, my weight is now going in the right direction!

2) Today I fancied salad for lunch (amazing in itself, were I on a diet you

couldn't force me to have 'scrawny' food as I used to think of it!), and I went

to a place that gave me a plate of 4 different types. I sat down to eat, and as

is my normal way I had a little of each in turn, and then started weighing in to

the one I liked least, as I was saving the best till last to really savour it.

BING! Suddenly it hits me, that MAYBE this is one of the reasons I've eaten

until my plate is empty even if it leaves me in physical pain! Whilst I've made

it a personal challenge now to leave a little bit on my plate even if I feel

compelled to keep going, I hadn't put 2 and 2 together. Saving the best till

last when eating, keeps me eating until I can have the stuff I love!

From this moment I'm going to eat the thing I like most on my plate first, and

I'm going to revel in it, and savour it well. Then the boring/filler stuff will

only get eaten if I'm really hungry, and I bet it will be easier to stop too!

I hope you are all having great days, and I feel blessed that I can share this

with you all.

Linette

I'm on a prayer list and this one came today.  I just had to share.  You can draw your own conclusions. " Please pray for my brother, , 62 years old, who had a heart attack early Tuesday morning (April 10th.) He was in a hospital on a US military base but they have no cardiologists at that hospital. was on a waiting list to get transferred to a cardiac care hospital 1 hour away. He was eventually transferred on Saturday to have an angioplasty done and to see what treatment was needed. He has still not been treated and is waiting his turn for the angioplasty. Until that time they have kept him in bed and on major blood thinning meds. Suzie " Anyone want to take bets on when he dies? Val

We don't have enough info like:   Is he a candidate for angioplasty?

How bad is his heart ischemia?

I just don't beleive that a military hospital don't have access to a

cardiologist. He can always sign out AMA and go to another hospital?
