Waiting on pins and needles… HRH From: infantile scoliosis treatment [mailto:infantile scoliosis treatment ] On Behalf Of genericallyloud Sent: Monday, May 17, 2010 6:04 AM infantile scoliosis treatment Subject: Re: wish us luck tomorrow! Good Luck! I completely agree with . I would ask lots of questions and confirm their experience with treating infantile scoliosis. I would make sure they do the proper cut outs in the front and back and anchor the casts on the hips, that they have the correct children's frame (you may already know all of this so if it is redundant then sorry). I would also make sure that you ask any questions about CPR and hymilc in cast you may have, I know a lot of parents come home with those questions. It can be hard for families to understand the choice to cast sometimes but juts know that if your child gets proper mehta casting the will see the positive results and how much more comfortable many of the kids are in their cast (because their spine is straighter) they will get on board. Then my only other thing is to say that the first day exhausting, but hang in there, it gets much much easier. Good Luck, Jenn Mommy to Cole, 2.5 years, 5th cast from Rochester, 13 degrees out of cast down from 47 > > Aubrey goes back to the doctor tomorrow afternoon in kansas city. We are going to talk to our doctor and hopefully get things started for her first cast. My husband and I have talked it over with ourselves, since our family does not support the casting and we think that the casting will do more in her favor than the brace is doing right now. Any suggestions on questions that i need to be asking my doctor as we go through this process? and advice will be helpful! > > Thank you > Chelsea mom of Aubrey in brace 2 months being treated at childrens mercy kansas, city >
