Guest guest
Hi, how would you work with an athlete with patellar tendinitis? I mean what are the principles you'd follow? He is still in medium pain. I'm working over eccentric leg extension, declined single legged squat, 1\2-1\4 squat (he lowers his body before feeling pain), isometric leg press 30°-60°-90°, leg extension last 30° with bent torso, foot rotated outward, adductors contracted isometrically in order to isalate the VM. The athlete is under therapy. Any suggestion? Thanks Marco Sist, Italy Preparatore fisico Strength and Conditioning Coach ________________________________ Da: Vesa Koskela <vesa@...> A: Supertraining Inviato: Gio 9 settembre 2010, 07:05:21 Oggetto: Re: Calf Strains I agree about make sure that there are a correct movement in the ankle and foot joints, as incorrect biomechanics will counteract stretching of the calf muscle, with the foot in different angles, in pronation and supination, and then stretching you will find the right angle to stretch the stiff part of the muscle, and not to forget to the the same again with the knee bent and in straight position, to stretch the Gastrocnemius and Soleus muscle. Instructions about the stretching in different angles are described on this page http://www.stretchpower.eu/Tests___Research.html ==============================
