Guest guest
Well, Doc has had his cast for almost two weeks and we've gotten into a bit of a schedule. Every day he gets a wipe-down with a damp cloth and every 4th day he gets to sit in the tub with me. (Waterproof cast- and I haven't had a single problem with it.) We have an occupational therapist and a developmental therapist that alternate weekly visits. We also have a physical therapist that comes in weekly now to keep his core muscles in shape. We're hoping that by focusing on his core muscles that we'll be able to make the correction stick as well as make the transition from cast to non-cast easier (whenever it hits). So far we're just taking it a day at a time. On the best side of things, he's sort of walking now, and he's taller now that he's in a cast. On the down side, my six-year old now lists his brother as his biggest rival for my attention. lol! I want to thank everyone for keeping my spirits up in the beginning there. a- Mommy to Doc 1st cast down to 17 from 44.
