Guest guest
Hi, I have been a member of the group for a while but haven't had time to post. anywho...my son has a progressive 66.2 degree curve. He is currently 18 1/2 months old. He had an MRI last Tuesday. The results came in, but out doctor is out of town so he had another doctor call me. This is all I know...he has a tethered spinal cord, a GRE malformation where his brain and spinal cord connect, his spinal cord is too long in the lumbar part of his back, and he has spinal fluid. Is this spina bifida? I am confused and don't know much about the spinal cord. (b/c I have spent all my time and energy into researching casting methods, etc.) If anyone else has a child with these symptoms please send more information my way. I am waiting on a call from a neurosurgeon. Since the MRI was not clear at all, casting is up in the air right now. We are pretty disappointed b/c he was finally going to get his first cast on April 16th, but now we are looking a neurosurgery.
