Hi !

We have a very, very small house - but I only decided to buy it *after* I took

measurements in the basement to make sure my exercise stuff would fit, LOL.

Priorities, you know? ;)

By pull down station, I just meant the lat pulldown/low row that is attached to

my smith machine. I'm sure you're pull down tower can do pretty much all the

same stuff, too! Pull down towers are SO versatile! And they make so many

attachments for them. I really like the triceps rope! I'm looking at a new lat

pulldown bar, that is width adjustable and has independent, free handles to pull

on instead of the bar. Looks neat. But I'm an equipment junkie, so it's not

" necessary " by any means. :)

Yes, the " complete book of " series is where I learned weights from, so I'm

biased toward them. I would write down which page each exercise in my rotation

was on, and read and refer back during every workout - for months! :) But I

still pull them out now and then if I want a variation or substitution for an

exercise.

I hope your daughter heals up quick, too! And glad to hear you liked Angie

s kbell workout! I have that one, but haven't tried it yet.

Hi Sara-

I am going to look into those books. They sound really informative. I REALLY liked Angie 's workout. It is the hardest kb workout I have done so far. My daughter is doing a little better thanks. She seems to be doing fine and then will forget about it and move funny and aggravate it. It is hard to get her to maybe just completely take it easy on it for a few days:-)

I know what you mean about being an equipment junkie. I see these beautiful homes on t.v. with a full gym and I get so jealous. Someday maybe:-) That is such a dream of mine. To have my own space like that and have it all organized and ready when I want to use it. I have kind of turned a small part of our living room into my "gym." I can't fit my tower in the basement because I wouldn't be able to do pull ups on it lol, my head would touch the ceiling - so everything kind of ended up upstairs.

I have to agree with you on the non fancy things. The only things I would REALLY love would be a WONDERFUL gym and a neat drawing studio. Other than that I am good:-). Just my very own space I guess. What we have does work out fine though. I just get a little jealous I have to admit when I see the gyms with the polished wood floors, floor to ceiling mirrors, gobs of weights and a ballet bar- oh and a fantastic stereo system of course. A girl can dream:-) lol

Let me know what you think of that book, ok. I was curious about it too-

Hi ,

Glad to hear that Angie's is good! I previewed the tutorial once briefly, then

got distracted my Amy Bento's 3 in 1, and haven't been back to Angie's yet, lol.

Too funny about fancy home gyms. Most of the ones that I see I look at and

think of what " else " I'd add to it, lol. But then again, it's rare that I'd be

looking at very fancy houses, since I'm pretty non-fancy. :) Well, except for

my gym, heh. Sounds like you have a pretty good set up, even if you have to

steal space upstairs. It's being put to good use!

On books, I'm also very interested in this kettlebell book that Kassia mentioned

before:

http://www.nofearfitness.com/products/kbworkbook.php

I'm hoping to find it cheap somewhere (of course) but will pay full price if I

have to once I'm ready to get it.

Hi ,

LOL, yep, I hear ya! I'm pretty happy with my equipment - just wish I had a

full height ceiling - and more open floor space inside, heh. Though if we end

up staying here for several more years, I may have to seriously look into the

possibility of digging the basement deeper! ;)

It'll be a while before I get that book, but I think that Kassia likes it a lot.

Maybe she'll chime in. :)
