Speaking of KBs, I asked DH if I could get my b-day present earlier (a 45lb KB), and he said yes!  Ya-hoo!  Now I need to decide what to get. I have all Aders (and some muscle drivers that I keep in my 'studio').  The Ader would cost me $100, whereas an Apollo would cost me under $65.....  UGH....  I have been debating this forever.

Thanks Sara, I've been keeping my eye out for a long time now.. Unfortunately, I can't find an Ader for under $100.  If I went with an apollo I could get it for $65.  I can't make up my mind on what to get..GRR!!!!!

Hi Sara-

Yes, it sounds like we have the same kind of thing going. Your plan looks really good! I like doing it this way. A lot of the time I will do half of a workout dvd and then my own stuff. This is probably what I do most often honestly, split it up like that.

Those books are really good for getting workout ideas. If you know of any more please pass them on:-)

I am getting my 20# kettlebell next week. I am so excited. My kbq is getting longer and longer. I have a list of exercises I do for that too, and now have this song that I love that has the perfect beat for this workout. It is on repeat over and over and over :-) It is so much fun I can't stop until my legs are shot:-)

I would love to hear more about your routines too-

Darcy that is great news!!

I am sure you will make the right decision. Either way, how fun! I know I will stick with Go Fit, I like them all to match lol. And they are so pretty :-)

That is just great that you are getting it. You've been wanting it for a while now:-)

Thanks !  Yes, I have been wanting them for awhile.  I have decided to go with the Ader, but now I have to decide between the 44 or the 45.  If I get the 44, I won't ever be able to justify getting a 40 lb bell...  If I get the 45, then it leaves the window open for in the future to possibly get a 40 lb one.  I also have to think of training.  One day I would love to get KB certified and then use them for training as well.  It might be beneficial to have 5lb increments then...UGH...  I just hate decisions!!!!!!!

Hi ,

That's a good idea to add on your own stuff, too! I've been eyeing some more

gadgets for my pulldown station, and may have to consider that. I don't have

any video-free scheduled for a while after this month!

I love books! I have tons of workouts clipped from magazines, too. An oldie,

but goodie that comes to mind is Sculpting Her Body Perfect. It's probably easy

to find at the library, or maybe used and cheap, too. I like the " complete book

of " series as well, but they are also older. They have a book for legs,

arms/shoulders, abs, core, etc.

I'm doing the same exercises next week that I did this week, but you can see

what I did for the first two weeks of May (same exercises for two weeks) on my

blog, if you want. Just click on the Muscle & Fitness category on the right

hand side. :)

http://mybasementgym.com/

Great job with the kbell work - and on getting a bigger bell, too! I have an

adjustable one that goes up to 25lbs - and it will be a while before I max out

on that. :) Of course, it would probably help if I did more kbell work, but I'm

hoping to do more next month when I lighten my weights plan a bit. I'm not

ready to try any video free kettlebell stuff anytime soon, but maybe some day!

That is great that you have your own pull down station! I haven't done a lot of work on them but they seem like a fun and really balanced workout. We don't have a lot of room in our house so my only "big" piece of equipment is my pull down tower:-) I really like it for abs especially.

Believe it or not I have Sculpting Her Body Perfect! I got it a few years ago. It is a good one too.

I haven't heard of the complete book of series. I will have to look for that one.

I will check out your workout. Thanks. I love looking for new routines and ideas. I get bored easy:-)

Hi , That's a good idea to add on your own stuff, too! I've been eyeing some more gadgets for my pulldown station, and may have to consider that. I don't have any video-free scheduled for a while after this month!I love books! I have tons of workouts clipped from magazines, too. An oldie, but goodie that comes to mind is Sculpting Her Body Perfect. It's probably easy to find at the library, or maybe used and cheap, too. I like the "complete book of" series as well, but they are also older. They have a book for legs, arms/shoulders, abs, core, etc.I'm doing the same exercises next week that I did this week, but you can see what I did for the first two weeks of May (same exercises for two weeks) on my blog, if you want. Just click on the Muscle & Fitness category on the right hand side. :)http://mybasementgym.com/Great job with the kbell work - and on getting a bigger bell, too! I have an adjustable one that goes up to 25lbs - and it will be a while before I max out on that. :) Of course, it would probably help if I did more kbell work, but I'm hoping to do more next month when I lighten my weights plan a bit. I'm not ready to try any video free kettlebell stuff anytime soon, but maybe some day!Sara>> Hi Sara-> Yes, it sounds like we have the same kind of thing going. Your plan looks > really good!

Hi !

We have a very, very small house - but I only decided to buy it *after* I took

measurements in the basement to make sure my exercise stuff would fit, LOL.

Priorities, you know? ;)

By pull down station, I just meant the lat pulldown/low row that is attached to

my smith machine. I'm sure you're pull down tower can do pretty much all the

same stuff, too! Pull down towers are SO versatile! And they make so many

attachments for them. I really like the triceps rope! I'm looking at a new lat

pulldown bar, that is width adjustable and has independent, free handles to pull

on instead of the bar. Looks neat. But I'm an equipment junkie, so it's not

" necessary " by any means. :)

Yes, the " complete book of " series is where I learned weights from, so I'm

biased toward them. I would write down which page each exercise in my rotation

was on, and read and refer back during every workout - for months! :) But I

still pull them out now and then if I want a variation or substitution for an

exercise.

I hope your daughter heals up quick, too! And glad to hear you liked Angie

s kbell workout! I have that one, but haven't tried it yet.
