Hi Mandi,

I'm one of them (we sat on the same table on the Friday evening bash at the

Bournemouth Conference)! All credit goes to Di and her husband for organising

the venue and the motorbikes. We all had a fab time doing the shoot, were

really blessed with the weather and enjoyed a great pub lunch afterwards!!

Wished we could do it more often!

You all looked fab esme, have just sent an email oujt to the Sevenoaks gang to get ours done at the next meet up. Dont think motorbikes will be included somehow!!

Glad we went down well with the motorbikes!! You looked great in the new forest too!

Just got back from a week in cornwall, bloody hell, had horrendous toothache and then major tooth extraction on wednesday which took nearly an hour!! worse than giving birth I tell you! Sam not interested in the beach this year, in fact he had a major meltdown on one and we got the usual stares resulting in me shouting "this is what vaccines do so some of our kids so have a good look" god I must have looked like mad hamster face women from hell!!!

Hi Di,

You poor thing, loving that screaming mad beach woman look, we are all a bit mad

at times! Really hoping Sam feeling better and you too, teeth stuff sounds

awful, gulp, I broke a molar on Friday and off in the morning to dentist which I

am well nervous off.

You all looked amazing in the Autism Mums, sorry I never got round to doing

this. I actually dont know that many mums up here but I guess we could give it a

go if its not over yet!

Hi Mandi &

I'm Alison one of the Wigan Mum's, I have been on this group since last summer

but never posted anything yet. You all know so much I just like learning from

everybody else.

We loved doing our photo shoot, had a great day and we are very grateful to be a

part of such an excellent campaign! The last photo shoot has given us the idea

to try to unite all of the parents and carers of kids with autism in our area,

and we have planned a big photo shoot for 27 June, we have got the local paper,

local radio and possible local TV channel following our story. (that should give

my magic knickers a run for their money!!!)

Mandi, you mentioned Treating Autism get togethers in June, are there any plans

for another Parent 2 Parent conference this year in Manchester? I was

completely blown away by the last one, I've never been to a conference quite

like it and sat crying buckets through most of it. I tell everybody about it

and would love to take a few friends to the next one.

, I'm so sorry I didn't realise there was anybody local on this group,

would you be interested in helping us out with the next photo shoot? We would

really appreciate your help. I have just started a new website too if you want

a look

It was only started last week so is still pretty bare so any contributions would

Re the photo shoot, because my daughter is a bit older than many of your children, and we have a team of young women supporting her (via direct payments etc).... we are doing a shoot of her and her team... the face of autism... so as soon as it is done and available, I will let you all know. All the girls are rushing out now to buy new clothes and I am looking for a make-up artist that can do make up really well for my dd!!
