Guest guest
Hi Sara, FANTASTIC review! Thanks for this! I saw this video somewhere (a website, don't know which) and was curious about it, now I know. It sounds really good too. Your week was also FANTASTIC! Despite the late workouts, you managed to do them anyway, which is excellent! Looks like a good week too! 10 Minute Solution - KnockOut Body - Hi all, I finished up my second video free strength week, and despite some major I-don't-wanna days - I didn't miss a workout. Whew! Here's to hoping next week goes smoother and is without so many late night workouts due to my own procrastination!Today I did try out the new 10 Minute Solutions kickboxing workout – KnockOut Body with . It comes in a kit with the same 1lb each, pink weighted gloves that 's Punch Up Your Walk kit has. I certainly didn't need yet another pair, but as of right now it's not sold without the gloves. Oh, well. As usual with these workouts, it contains 5 different segments:Knockout body blastFat AttackUltimate Upper BodyKickbox Cross TrainFierce & Fabulous AbsBody Blast and Fat Attack are all kickboxing, with various combos. cues well and builds the combos slowly, so I found it most of it easy to follow - even though I consider myself rather beginner when it comes to kickboxing. I did get mixed up a few times during Fat Attack, as she has some combos that involve turning backwards and moving around the floor in an L shape. I'm pretty choreography challenged, and as soon as there is turning around involved I'm likely to get lost. But I just kept moving to keep my heart rate up and followed along the best that I could. Ultimate Upper Body is more boxing, as I don't think it had any kicks at all. And she adds a couple sets of back flyes and push ups at the end (very few of each, though). Kickbox Cross Train is mostly "sculpting" with kickboxing flavor, with more focus on the lower body. There are some interesting combo moves, like a leg lift with an elbow thrust and a slow side leg lift into a roundhouse kick. The abs segment also has a bit of a kickboxing flavor, as she uses the weighted gloves, and also adds punches to a bicycle crunch. So, I had fun with this one and am glad I was able to fit it in this week. I had planned on doing the second segment of abs work from Amy Bento's Abs & Stretch, but since this workout had a decent abs segment, I figured I can do Amy's another time - maybe next week!I haven't tried the other 10 Minute Solution kickboxing workout with Keli yet, but maybe now I'll try it out soon. The week looked like this:Sun – restMon – Legs & ShouldersTues – Back & Biceps (completed at 10:15pm, grrr!)Wed – treadmill hills – 60 min + Amy Bento abs #1Thurs – Chest & Triceps (completed at 11:20ish p.m. – double grrr!)Fri – 10 Minute Solution KnockOut BodyHave a great weekend, everyone!Sara

Guest guest
Hi , Thanks! It was a pretty good workout, but kind of pricey if you already have gloves, esp compared to what the other 10 min sol. workouts go on sale for. I thought of you with the other 10 Min solution kickboxing workout - since you've said good things about it. I'll have to try it pretty soon, I think. Thanks for the kudos on the week. I think it looks better on paper than it felt, heh. But, I did have decent DOMS all week, and like you said - did squeeze everything in despite my best efforts to sabotage myself! I'm chalking the week up to hormones, moving on, and doing better next week. Plus, I'll be doing new exercises for strength training, so I'll like the change. At least I didn't feel like chewing my arm off in starvation, so I guess that'll be my bright side. lol Sara > > Hi Sara, > > FANTASTIC review! Thanks for this! Guest guest
great week sara. I didn't know there was a new 10 Solution workout...sigh, I'll end buying it for sure :)2009/5/15 Sara <sjajsa@...> Hi all, I finished up my second video free strength week, and despite some major I-don't-wanna days - I didn't miss a workout. Whew! Here's to hoping next week goes smoother and is without so many late night workouts due to my own procrastination! Today I did try out the new 10 Minute Solutions kickboxing workout – KnockOut Body with . It comes in a kit with the same 1lb each, pink weighted gloves that 's Punch Up Your Walk kit has. I certainly didn't need yet another pair, but as of right now it's not sold without the gloves. Oh, well. As usual with these workouts, it contains 5 different segments: Knockout body blast Fat Attack Ultimate Upper Body Kickbox Cross Train Fierce & Fabulous Abs Body Blast and Fat Attack are all kickboxing, with various combos. cues well and builds the combos slowly, so I found it most of it easy to follow - even though I consider myself rather beginner when it comes to kickboxing. Kickbox Cross Train is mostly " sculpting " with kickboxing flavor, with more focus on the lower body. I had planned on doing the second segment of abs work from Amy Bento's Abs & Stretch, but since this workout had a decent abs segment, I figured I can do Amy's another time - maybe next week! I haven't tried the other 10 Minute Solution kickboxing workout with Keli yet, but maybe now I'll try it out soon. The week looked like this: Sun – rest Mon – Legs & Shoulders Tues – Back & Biceps (completed at 10:15pm, grrr!) Wed – treadmill hills – 60 min + Amy Bento abs #1 Thurs – Chest & Triceps (completed at 11:20ish p.m. – double grrr!) Fri – 10 Minute Solution KnockOut Body Have a great weekend, everyone! Guest guest
Hi Donna, Thanks! I was wondering the same thing about the gloves - but I still see all of the other " kits " at Walmart that have gadgets (Amy Bento's figure 8, etc) so I imagine they'll leave them in for a while to keep the price up. I also have my regular Valeo pair (that I always use)in addition to 's and now these! lol Sara >

Guest guest
Thanks, Vennitta! There's actually 2 new ones - this one and a dancy one as well. I think only totalfitnessdvds.com and their amazon store currently have them in stock. The dancy one (I don't know the title, I'm not very dancy, lol) comes with the same weighted belt as 's other kit. Sara > > great week sara. Guest guest
Oh! This sounds fun, and I like everything in the 10 Min series. Might need to use a coupon at Borders for this sometime!
