Guest guest
Awesome !! Congrats on doing an advanced tape. You did everything right w/ marching it out and breaking for water. Guest guest
HI Jen, That is AWESOME that you got your workout in even though it was late!! Great job! Great determination! Donna From: nancydewolf@ sbcglobal. net <nancydewolf@ sbcglobal. net>Subject: Re: Made a decision AND plans for this Spring and SummerDate: Tuesday, May 12, 2009, 12:34 PM Hi Jen, It looks like you've done a lot of thinking about what will work for you and what won't and made some smart adjustments. You've gotten specific about what workouts to use, now you need to get specific about what days and times you WILL work out. I know your schedule is variable, but think about what will be most likely to work and know that unless you end up having to work that you WILL work out then. That's what I have to do. If I have it set in my mind that this is my workout time then I am less likely to let other things get in the way. Today is a good example of that. I just recently added Tuesday afternoons to my workout schedule. Tuesdays are crazy for me and I can't workout in the morning like I do most other days but I can get at least a short one in during the afternoons. I decided a few weeks ago that I can and I WILL do that and this will be my 3rd week in a row adding in Tuesdays. It is becoming less optional to fill this downtime between places I have to be with other things. I'm in my workout clothes, just letting my lunch digest a bit longer before I head to the basement. I find having my workouts for each day planned ahead of time helps keep me with my program too. Even if my ideas won't work for you, the point of my message is that being as specific as possible about your plans, like you've done already as far as what workouts you're subbing and why, will help you (and others reading this) to be more successful. I hope you take the time to do that and I hope you can make this work, good luck! Made a decision AND plans for this Spring and Summer I LOVE doing ChaLEAN Extreme (CLX) from Beachbody.com but I've found that some of the strength exercises (sumo squats and lunges) hurt my knees so instead of quiting the program I'm going to either modify them or substitute another exercise such as regular squats in place of the sumo squats. I like CLX's cardio workouts however I'm concerned that I am really going to hurt my knees doing them so I'm going to stop until I've either lost a lot of weight and/or are in better shape. I have a lot of problems doing the up/down exercises such as burpees so I'm putting them on hold. And I'm not going to do the ab workouts because my abs just aren't strong enough. I will replace those workouts with either Ab trainer 100 or Hip Hop Abs (HHA) by Shaun T. In place of CLX's cardio workouts I'm going to do another dvd series such as Turbo Jam (TJ) or Hip Hop Abs (HHA). AND I'm going to start walking and riding my airodyn bike for added cardio. What do you guys think of my plan?My plans for this spring and summerSince I'm working less I'm going to focus on four goals: 1. Exercising, and eating healthy so that I can FINALLY lose this weight and get healthy. 2. Studying to take the national interpreter written exam in either the Fall or Winter and 3. To clean and straighten up my house. 4. HAVE FUN! -- I'm playing on a sand co-ed 4's volleyball team this spring/summer, starting on June 1st. I'm on a summer bowling league, starting this Thursday. I will be enjoying our (townhouse's) swimming pool - lap swimming and water exercising. What do you think of my plans? Jen
Guest guest
Good job, Jen! Keep it up! Sara > > I didn't feel well yesterday (upset stomach) so I wanted to wait until later to workout. I was also waiting for a guy to call me back about whether or not he could bowl on my Thursday night Summer league. I thought I all ready had someone to bowl but as it got closer to the starting date I decided to write on his wall on Facebook just to make sure. Guess what? That jerk said that he had hurt his back last weekend and would not be able to bowl! I was really FURIOUS because he should have emailed me or FB (Facebook) me and let me know sooner so that I could find someone. >
