Guest guest
, You might check to see if their is a Freecycle group near you or check craigslist for a pull up bar. Big kudos to you for even thinking about it. We have two pull up bars in the house and I RARELY use them. I have to jump my self up. I just did overhead presses with heavy heavy weights whenever Tony did the pullups. Something else I need to work on...... And yes, don't be enabled to buy before you try because I'm so not in a hurry to have it back. You could keep it for a year and I probably wouldn't even notice. a > > Place the > > barbell (no plates) on the seated part of the chairs or raised steps and > > voila! instant pull-up station. > > this is what i would do. although i do not have a barbell, so i > would use some other very strong, thick-ish, piece of dowling or > a handle from something. dh has a metal handle that he attaches > to some sort of concrete tool, so i would probably try to use > that, placed across the seats of 2 sturdy chairs. > :*carolyn. >

Tony mentions some kind of special device to do the pullups with a band but in a quick look at the BB site I can't find it. What do you need and can I get it from somewhere other than BB if I want to get it? I watched Chest & Back yesterday and while it certainly looks very tough, I don't feel totally intimidated, mostly excited about trying but I don't have a pullup bar and don't want to spend $60 on one either. I still have to watch to other videos, hopefully will have time next week. > > > I got a chin up bar from Wal-mart that fits in a door frame with no screwing in or anything. Easy to set up and take down. Plus it doubles as the push up stands and can even be used as an aid for crunches. It was about $20. Well, worth it. Guest guest
Hi , The tubing I got has one set of handles that has three rings to attach tubing to and three pieces of tubing that have a little clasp that attachs to the rings. You could use one band, two bands or all three. I *think* they may still have it at Target, too!
