Guest guest
Thank you ette. We need all the prayers we can get right now. I am still stunned by everything that has happened in our family within the last few weeks. I don't know if I mentioned my mother found out she has a tumor in her paratoid gland (they are 50/50 chance of being cancer). I did a lot of research and when it is cancer, it listed symptoms you would be having, well; she's having those symptoms. Her surgery is tomorrow at noon. Then my son-in-law, with him it is one day at a time. His memory loss is of great concern now that they have him awake and the surgery is completed. My daughter told me I will be surprised, he now has a much smaller nose than before (it was completely shattered). But they seem to keep finding things daily, we just need to get him back up here, then my daughter can get back to work, I'm 5 minutes from their house, I can go and help him there during the day. My back is acting up and so is my spinal stimulator. I go tomorrow to my pain mgt doc, they're probably going to tell me to call the company rep re: the stimulator....my biggest fear is it will have to be replaced. I also just had a tumor removed from my dog's mouth which turned out to be benign. He is my companion and I don't know what I would do without him. But thank you so much for caring and the prayers. I'm hoping to get some good news today regarding my son-in-law (even if it's just getting him moved to a hospital up here). And tomorrow, my mother with her surgery up in IL. We won't know about the tumor for about 3 days. My daughter's 2 year old son is so confused. He came back with me, my oldest daughter is spending the night at his house with him and then taking him to daycare. We figured he needed to get back in to some routine. In Beaumont he kept asking for his father, wanting to know when he was coming home because we were at his apartment. We told him his daddy had a boo-boo on his face, but he really didn't understand. My daughter here says he is sleeping curled up on her chest at night. He is just so confused and upset. And of course his mother misses him so much, has never been away from him.Thank you to everyone who has kept us in their prayers. I really appreciate it. I know I don't write in a lot, but I do read all. I hope everyone is having pain free days and my prayers go out to everyone. I'd like to know what has transpired as I've been thinking about you. Dad and I said prayers for you and your family. As long as there is improvement, at least there's improvement and pray it continues to improve until he's recovered. Guest guest
May wrote the perfect response which I second and will continue to pray. Your grandson is far too young to understand what is happening to his dad. If his dad was in a hospital closer he might be able to visit when he has improved more so he can see him. Years ago when I had gallbladder surgery the hospital permitted him to see me for a few minutes a few times. was around eighteen months of age at the time. Mom said he listened to her after seeing that his mommy was indeed in a bed and still loved him. I too have an ill dog who is refusing to eat dog food, up until two days ago. I have been giving her people food to keep her going. is sixteen years of age and has dropped from pounds to around thirty two. She eats as long as I add tuna fish to her food and now east twice a day to gain weight. She and my other older dog now have bumps on their them and the vet says not to be concerned at this time. Thank God for that now. has arthritis so bad in addition to nerve damage to her rear legs and hips. Please continue to hang in there and we will all be saying our individual prayers and I am pleased your son in law is improving.Hugs Love & Prayersette
Guest guest
I agree. It helps so much to receive this support from the group. I hope your fur baby is OK. They become like family members and we cherish them. My Cowboy is all I have left of my dogs and he is 9. He has arthritis in his back, but we made it thru the tumor scare. He is also getting those lumps. Several of my other dogs I used to have got them also. My Vet said they are usually just fatty deposits.....so hopefully for both of us, that is all it is. As for my son-in-law, the reason I wish he could be transferred up here is so his son could maybe see him and might understand a little more, on top of it being easier for my daughter. But we will see.
