Guest guest
Surgery day.....we arrived at 5:30am to check in and do all of the pre-op stuff. They just took Matson back to the O.R. at 7:45. He was trying so hard to be brave, but he was listening to all the doctors coming in and out and he understands so much, his lips started quivering and then he just sobbed. So heartbreaking. Dr. Akbarnia did say that they are using titanium rods instead of the stainless steel so it will be easy to convert to the magnetic device when it is approved. They warned us there is a large window of time before we will see him, anywhere between 6-12 hours depending upon everything. So for now we sit...we drank some coffee and back up on the waiting room. Congrats to all on the airings of the wonderful PSA this week, that is so great!! I have a Caringbridge site for Matson if anyone would like to check it out. Will update more later.... Www.caringbridge.org/visit/matsonfournier best regards always, steph mom to Tyler (7), Matson (4), and Lily (3)
