That is a major bummer

And NEVER inform you of the appointment they made for you. I had a migrainetoday so I turned off my phone so that I would not be cursing when Ianswered the phone because I was expecting a call from a nice person that isteaching me how to use some programs on my computer and did not want to actlike a WITCH towards him so I figured - turn off the phone and when he doesnot get me he will call back some other day. I turned the phone back onafter 6 PM when the migraine was finally down to manageable size to see ifhe had called and left a message. No message from him but two from an MRIplace informing me of my 9 AM appointment TOMORROW with no instructionsabout what to do in preparation or directions to where they are or eventheir address. This got me HOT because even though my doctor had asked meabout whether when I had had an MRI, he did NOT tell me he would make areferral for one, NOBODY in his office

informed me they were making areferral, NOTHING was mentioned about an MRI until TODAY! Needless to say,the office was closed when I returned their call, I told them that since NOONE had informed me of the appointment AT ALL until today and that, whenthey called I had the phone turned off due to a migraine, I had NO notice ofthe appointment and I NEED at least a week's notice of ANY appointments sothat I can arrange transportation and someone to be with me if necessary, therefore, I would not be able to make the appointment due to NOtransportation and NO possibility of having someone with me, if I needed to.Talk about STUPID people! I had the same thing happen to me this morning. I had a test ordered

by my orthopedic doctor and he has me scheduled for a march third

appointment with no notice until I called today. I like you need at

least a week to arrange transportation. So I am glad that I called

them I wish you the best with everything

Called today and rescheduled for this Thursday (it is actually at least 24 hours notice that is necessary so 6:15 PM on one day for a 9 AM appointment the next day was not okay - even with them calling at 12:15 PM that still was not at least 24 hours). My doctor's office will be hearing about scheduling me for an appointment anywhere without consulting me - I will suggest that the next time I get called about an appointment I did not PERSONALLY schedule that they expect a call from me expecting them to provide transportation (that might give them A LOT of pause in doing that again, at least not to me and especially because I have told them many times that there was only one car in the family and my husband has it all day 13 days out of 14. Turns out it is for a CT scan not an MRI, no contrast, so no special instructions.
