I found this workout at a dollar store recently, I'm looking forward to trying it, thanks for the note on it and your PHH rotation !

Tuesday workout

Hi everyone. Today was day 2 of my highly-modified PHH rotation. I had a busy morning, and didn't fit in any cardio, but I did the scheduled thighs and abs workout - used the 15-Minute Workout for Dummies dvd. I like Gay Gaspar (sp?), muscles and all! :-) Well, the warm-ups are a bit repetitive, but the toning sections are effective. I can certainly feel it, especially in my legs.

Thanks ! I had to stop short on the last set of the presses for the bench and the inclined. I just couldn't pull out another rep. I really want to stick with this heavy weight training until summer ends.

hehe michelle you are too cute!! yes, we used to call abs "midrift".

hehe boy does that date me!!

This evening I did Drill Max (cardio blast premix) after the

first drill I asked myself why in God's name did I pick this

workout?... She doesn't rest in between, so its pretty much on the

high end for all 6 cardios. I stayed out of breath for most all of

it.

After that, I did abs. You all won't believe what ab workout I

done... you're going to laugh... are you ready????????

JOANNIE GREGGIN'S SUPER STOMACH!!! yep, you read it right....

my mother in law picked it up at a garage sale the other day. She said

"I didn't know if you had this one or not" lol

I was trying to decide what abs to do this evening and I

figured what the heck. I actually liked it, it was fun. Lots of reps,

but I got a really good burn. If I'm not mistaken on what she said..

she says "lets work the mid drift" lol is that what they use to call

it? Joannie looked great. Anyone know whatever happened to her?

I do plan to do this workout again lol it was a nice change

from today's abs routines and its fun to go back. One day I might go

back and do some Margaret Body Electric. I have a few workouts

of her.

Anyway, I burned 400 calories. Drill Max really kicked my

butt. Its not my favorite workout, but doing all the cardios back to

back makes for a really great interval workout.

I'm off to watch some TV.

Have a nice evening.

Wow, this really sounds tough ! Way to go!

Tuesday workout

Today's workout I started with Total Yoga Level 2 (the bonus routine). This routine is perfect as a quickie yoga workout and as a warm up to weight work It's mostly all sun salutations. It clocks in around 15 minutes.

GS- Push ups - I did the first 16 and 14 ( all on toes) YAY! (I wasn't as sore in my chest today like I thought I would be, but wow is my back sore from last nights workout.) I'm trying to build myself up to being able to complete all 72 pushups on my toes for this exercise. Slowly but surely if I stay consistent, I'll get there!!!!

Gym Style Biceps:

Barbell Curls #1- 30 lbBarbell Curls #2- 30 lbDumbbell Curls ( partial reps)- 10 lbDumbbell Concentration Curls #1- 15 lbDumbbell Concentration Curls #2- 15 lbDumbbell Curl Up- 12 lbWrist Turn Lower Down- 12 lbDumbbell Hammer Curls- 12 lb

I skipped the wrist curls and went straight to PUB (what was I thinking....)

PUB Biceps- 8/ 10/ 12/10/8 I was fried at this point.

I'm beginning to think one week is going to be all I can do of this rotation. I will at least need to do a week of lighter stuff before going into this again. I think I bit of more than I can chew, so to speak. I'll just play it by how my body feels.

We had excellent weather today.

Have a nice evening!!

Excellent job !  I haven't done circuits in eons either...hmm.. maybe after CLX!  So many workouts, so little time :)DarcyOn Tue, Jul 7, 2009 at 7:39 AM, <fitgrl222@...> wrote:

Hi,

This morning was circuit.  Believe it or not I had down to do Ripped 1000.  Since I didn't do it when I done the Jari rotation I promised myself I would do it next circuit rotation.  So I did!!!

warm up 5's

cardio # 1

side squat lunge back/front raise- I started with 7's and but had to drop to 5's and then I was still having to push

cardio # 2

stiff leg dead lift- 12's/ standing delt fly  7's

cardio # 3

pulse squats pulse lunges 10's

cardio # 4

push ups -70

cardio- step

clean & press- 10's/7's

cardio- step

wide squat w/biceps curl 10's

cardio- step

tricep extension with leg abduction- (1) 10 lb I didn't do the extensions.  Just too awkward to try and do the leg abductions at the same time.

cardio- step

chest press/chest fly-  For this I did lying tricep extensions.  Since I didn't work my triceps in the previous exercise and had done all those pushups I figured this was a good time to do them.  I used 8's for the entire time and my tri's were on fire.  I even stopped twice.

cardio- step

abs

I skipped the abs as I always do with Jari's workouts

I haven't done this workout but a couple of times.  The cardio doesn't last long at all and it really isn't all that difficult, but when you bring in all those high rep exercises it gets plenty hard. I was pushin' myself there for a bit.  Of course my body is screaming at me because I'm not use to circuit work.  Every time I tell myself I'm going to do it more often, I don't do it.

 I burned 433 calories.

Since I didn't feel very worked out yesterday I think I'll keep my yoga's for evenings as my second workout, Sunday's as a workout, or for a recovery week.

I'll do cardio in-between circuit days this week.  That's a lot of cardio for me, but I've been doing it just twice a week for a while now so the change up will be good, I think.

Have a great day!

I went with Gay Gasper All Step Cardio and then B & G ankle weight abs.

I burned 459 calories which I'm quite surprised about.

I actually feel really worked out.  I'm going to TRY to get yoga in this evening.

Hi,

This morning I did Kick Max (no legs at the end) I modified the 10 blasts so it was a little more doable, but still a lot of jumping. The combos didn't really get my heart rate up a lot. The blasts made up for that though lol.

I burned 405 calories.

Have a great day

Excellent job !  I'm sorry you are dreading cardio anymore though.  Do you dread it while doing it as well, like clock-watching??  I hope not, because that's crappy to go through!Darcy

I burned 406 calories.  I've gotten to where I just dread any kind of cardio, not sure why.  I only do 2 a week so you would think I'd enjoy them, but I don't, really.

Anyway...

Hi,

This morning Cathe had her rotation up and I didn't care for it so I decided to just pick something. I wanted upper body so I decided to pull out a mish mosh workout I created a while ago. Its a one body part a day, but I did two body parts. It was tough!!! Here's how it went.

CHEST- Pyramid Upper Body: warm upflys/bench press (pyramid up only) 12/15/20

Slow & Heavy: Bench press (2 sets) 20/20 12 reps flys ( 2 sets) 20/20 12 reps

Gym Style: Bench Press ( 1 sets) 20's 12 reps flys ( 1 sets) 20's 12 reps Incline press ( 2 sets) 20/20 12 reps incline fly ( 2 sets) 20/20 12 reps

BACKPyramid Upper Body: (pyramid up) pullovers/double arm rows-12/15/20 Slow & Heavy (2 sets) DB Row- (up 3 down 1) 20/20 12 reps Pullover DB (down 3 up 3) 30/30 12 reps

Gym StyleUnderhand Lat Row DB 25/25 (2 sets- 8 reps) One arm Lat Row DB 25 lb (2 set each side- 12 reps)T-Back Squeeze w/Band green band Ribcage Pullovers 25/25 ( 2 sets- 12 reps)

Off to the vet. Have a great day everyone.

I decided to do a mish mosh (ugh oh) lol    Here's how it went.

Rhythmic Step (warm up and challenge)

Step, Jump & Pump (all step combos)

Step Blast (the challenge and cool down, but no blasts)

This was just 45 minutes total, but a nice workout.  I should've added on the blasts in SB, but when I started the workout I realized my hip flexors were sore (probably from ME yesterday)  and my legs felt pretty weak.  So by the time I got to that part I was pretty tired.

I burned 409 calories so that worked for me.

Have a great day!!

Excellent burn !  I don't know if I could push play w/ a headache!DarcyOn Tue, Nov 17, 2009 at 8:42 AM, <fitgrl222@...> wrote:

Good morning!

I started my workout with a headache and I guess the workout cured it because it's gone now.

This morning was Kick Max.  I did all of it except the leg conditioning drills at the end.  The combo's aren't near as hard as KPC, but the cardio blasts are, maybe even harder.  I had to modify quite a bit with that section. There are 10 blasts and its all pretty much high impact.

My chest and triceps are still screaming at me, but I managed the punches pretty well. Hopefully I worked some of the soreness out.

After the cardio I did 's KB abs premix.  I don't usually like standing ab work, but it was a great cool down for Kick Max since Cathe doesn't have a cool down for that.    I really liked the floor abs, I got a great burn and so did my hip flexors.....ouch!!!

This workout was an hour and 10 minutes and I burned 516 calories.

Have a great day!
