How great that you know how to Jen!  I can read patterns, but I doubt I could do really complex ones.  I've made a lot of stuff already... (booties, hats, flowers..)  It is very relaxing, I totally love it, and am addicted :)

My Grandma (Gram) taught me how to crochet afghans when I was 8 or 9 years old.  She didn't know how to read patterns, so I can't read them unless they are very very simple.  BUT she did teach me how to crochet an up & down or ripple afghan, and a shell afghan.

I have my own pattern for a double-sided afghan that I should work on in the evenings.  It is very relaxing.  I need to get back to doing other things I love besides playing volleyball (I quit the Deaf bowling league this year because I wasn't having any fun.)

Got another great workout in this morning :)  I was kind of dragging, and nothing sounded good.  My motivation hasn't been the best this past week due to wanting to crochet non-stop (oops), and then I'm eating chocolate on top of it.  Not good.  I pushed on anyway, and of course, am thrilled to have done so.  I went with Cathe's Afterburn, even though I was a bit nervous as to what I was getting myself into.  However, I'm thrilled to report it wasn't as hard as I expected, BUT that is said with all the floor exercises being done with my hands on a step.  It makes a big difference.   There's no way I could keep up w/ going straight to the floor.  It's a great modification :)  Other than those, I didn't modify much else.  Handled it fine.  I was happy to see I torched 710 calories with my average at 146

(52..shaved off the stretch due to bg).  That burn was also with a few trips upstairs to get Aniyah situated (brought her from bed to the boys once, and checked on her another time).

DH is still at stormwork.  I'm so happy for this.  Perfect time with X-mas coming.  Happy Sunday all!D
