Ouch on the broken tooth Kassia!! I hope its feeling better. So are you doing any DVD's at home or just doing all your workouts at the gym?

i am doing a mix plus i have wii games now a nice collection of them LOL. not just the wii sports boxing. i recently got gold's gym cardio and ea active for my anniversary and awhile back dh bought me wii fitness coach for no good reason other then it was cheaper on ebay! they aren't cathe amy intensity but they are pretty good add ons for during the day. esp. like gold's gymhaving a hard mixing it all in but i was managing while i was still working since school was in now i have to get creative until viola goes to camp in july. thinking mostly carido at home more steady state and maybe a few intervals plus my kettlebells, abs, pilates, and yoga. gym more weight training a few kettlebell exercises that i feel i am doing well at and some heavy intervals on the machines. plus we do the pool thing for viola.for the meantime i am thinking lower

intensity cardio work while viola swims(then maybe jump in with her) and maybe some weights but most of my work at home. got a lot of books now to pull together things but most of my cardio is still videos.mouth is still a little sore but glad i don't have to take meds anymore, they were totally zapping my energy. i am starting to feel like my ol' self again was dusting and cleaning and did a quick ea active and wii coach work for a good 50 min workout. going for cardio tomorrow thinking step with christi fun but not overly intense iif i can't hang then slip in some karen voight floor cardio.kassia fitness blogmy

Hey , do you have P90X? Are you going to try ChaLEAN Extreme? You should LOVE those! JenFrom: fitgrl222@... <fitgrl222@...>Subject: Monday workoutCatheFans , Date: Monday, June 15, 2009, 8:28 AM

Hi,

This morning I started another week of a different rotation. This one is a 3 Day Split and I'm doing all Amy Bento this week.

Today was chest, shoulders and biceps. I used a mish mosh I had created a while back using Slo-Mo and All Pump. It's pretty intense and a really nice combo.

CHEST:

SLO-MO-round the worlds- 8

Incline fly with internal rotation- 15

ALL PUMP- bench press- 35

pushups (press down and push off lowering risers)

SHOULDERS:

SLO-MO- over head press- BB 25/20

cuban press- 8

ALL PUMP- upright row- body bar 12LB

tubing throw backs

BICEPS:

ALL PUMP- curls (band and tubing) I used a bar bell with 30 LB

lying hammer curls- 12

SLO-MO- bicep bomb fire-8

Incline biceps curl (lying) (band) I used 12LB DB

This was a really fun combo. My arms feel fried right now. I even found myself stopping on a rep or two on those incline biceps with the 12's. They don't feel tough at first, but wow they sure get tough lol.

Have a great day!~ ~ An Excellent Credit Score is 750. See Yours in Just 2 Easy Steps!

I am soooo happy for you and DH both that he is continuing to workout !  Is he really into it, or does he not say much??  I so hope it lasts!!Great job with the workout and your upcoming rotation sound like a great variety. ;)

Hi,

Today starts a new rotation for me.  I felt like going with heavier weight workouts this month since watching DH workout (yep, he's still working out ).   I'm going to do weight training (upper body split and lower body once) and doing cardio twice a week for the first week.  The second week will be circuits alternating with yoga then I'll repeat it all again for the last two weeks.  Should be quite fun.  The weight workouts I'm using will be Gym Style and Slow & Heavy (been missing those two)

So, today was GS Chest & Triceps.

Chest          Drop Set Pushups- knees        Bench Press DB (3 sets, 12 reps) 20  (took extra rest here)         Pec Flyes DB (3 sets, 12 reps) 20/15         Incline Chest Press DB (2 sets, 12 reps) 15         Incline Pec Flyes DB (2 sets, 12 reps) 15      Close grip Chest Press BB (2 sets, 10 reps) 30         Bonus Close grip Chest Press BB (4x4 ct) 30

Triceps          Dips (24 reps)  took extra rest hereLying Tricep extensions DB (2 sets)    8   Seated French Press DB (2 sets)   20 (took extra rest here)Lying Cross-body tricep extensions DB (2 sets) 10/8Band Bonus Burn (cross body extensions) green band         Triceps Kickbacks DB (2 sets)  10/8Triceps Kickbacks Band green band

I hadn't done GS in a long time and it sounded really fun, but it was tough!!!  I felt like I had to drop so much.  I hate that she doesn't include any rest periods, but I did take my own which I don't usually do.

By the time I got to the cross body kickbacks my arms felt like jelly.   You also know you're working when you reach a point where your legs are shaking as well lol.

DH is off this week so my routine will be screwy.  Next week he goes to day shift then after that back to thirds.

Have a great day!!

That sounds wonderful!!! I've been imagining what I'd like to do post-CLX, and Slow and Heavy was the first thing that came to mind. I have the Gym Styles, but haven't done them yet. I like your rotation. Have fun!

Thanks Darcy!

I'm not sure on DH yet. He got mad at me last night because I told him he was going too fast with the reps and he kind of yelled "what does it matter as long as I'm getting the reps in?" grrrrr. I told him he was using momentum and that he was cheating. I asked him if it was harder to follow Cathe's speed or him speed... he didn't answer. Finally I told him to do it however he wanted to and he said he wasn't a professional like me. lol I told him it doesn't take being a professional to look at the screen and follow her pace.

Great work !  I'm glad you enjoyed the workout :)DarcyOn Mon, Jul 13, 2009 at 7:13 AM, <fitgrl222@...> wrote:

Hi,

This week I'll be doing the Slow & Heavy workouts.  I usually never do Cathe's rep counts or speed, though I know the workout IS SLOW & heavy,  I've never got any pleasure in doing them like that.  I love the exercises and the rests and with my own mix up I love doing these workouts. So you'll see my reps are different.

 3 sets 12 reps

CHEST            Bench Press DB     25/26/26    12 reps    Flys DB    26/26/25   12 repsIncline Bench DB     21/20/20     12 repsIncline Flyes DB  21/20/20  12 reps

Push-Ups  (skipped)

BACK            Lat Row (double arm) DB 25/25/25    12 repsPullover DB   30/30/30    12 repsDead Lifts DB   (subbed here and did one arm rows (25's 1 set) Supermans            Planks 1            Planks 2            Planks 3

Her rest periods use to seem long, but since doing STS they seem really short.  I guess we got spoiled with Meso 2 and 3 .

I fried my chest and like every other time I've done this workout I can never bring myself to do not even one pushup.  I just don't feel like I have it in me after all the work before.

Have a great day!!!!

,

When I made a post above called " Sunday workout " I didn't notice that you

already started a thread by that name, so mine kind of fell in under yours. I

didn't mean to hijack your thread. Sorry about that. Maybe I shouldn't do any

more Sunday workouts. LOL!
