Guest guest
I tried this one and didn't like it, didn't feel like I was getting a good upperbody workout. I haven't tried Ripped to the Core, but I don't think I'll like that one either, I don't like the combo moves. Not coordinated enough or something. The tricep ext with legs abduction was a killer though. I didn't feel anything in the triceps with the 5lbs like you, but had a horrible time trying to keep my balance and do the leg work. Part way thru I gave up on triceps and just concentrated on legs, that was tough enough. I've got Slim and Lean and can't wait for her next one to come out, Ripped and Chiseled. I'll have to checkout Get Ripped again and try it with heavier weights. Here is a description of the classes at the studios where she teaches, so I imagine the videos are the same: Phasse 1 - Get Ripped: techniques and safety, for building strength and familiarity Phase 2 - Ripped Slim and Lean: for building strength, endurance, muscle definiition Phase 3 - Ripped and Chiseled: for endurance hypertrophy, to overocme plateaus, high reps Phase 4 - Ripped to the core: uses compound movements which leads to major calorie burn Phase 5 - Ripped 1000: cardio and weights interval > > Well, I managed to get in Ripped 1000 this evening even with very little > sleep (yeah still working on that) > > If I had to say which Ripped workout I liked the best it would probably be > this one if nothing else, but for the fun factor. Guest guest
its not as bad with short breaks between each set and it takes 2 reps off each set. i have done this before on a ball and while i get a good burn and feel like i will go into muscle failure(a good thing) its totally doable. i would like to be able to upper body strong to get back into those heavy heavy routines again. kassiaApryl wrote: Push-Ups (70 declining reps--ie, 16-14-12-10-8-6-4) first 16 on toes, rest on kneesuhoh I don't think I will be able to do this.... ldy_solana's domain Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don’t want to impress people they don’t like.-Will Building a website is a piece of cake. Guest guest
Well dang it, I have this [virgin] workout and I too tire of endless sun salutations. The only one I'm missing in this series is the second one, " Water " . All 4 were at Ross: Total Yoga, Earth, Water, and Fire. Does anyone know what Water is like? I remember when watching Earth that the woman's voice bugged me, but I did go on a yoga retreat at Ginga and 's ranch once in Santa Barbara, the White Lotus. It was one of the best things I ever did for myself (I went alone) and for that reason was very excited to pick up their dvd's so cheap at Ross and check them out. Surinamaskar, This one was Total Yoga Fire. I > cannot believe how nauseated I got doing this routine. They do SO many sun > salutations that I was about to puke on the last few up dogs. Guest guest
Hi! I have all four as well as . When I did yoga more regularly I did Fire and was okay with it (it is a challenging practice!) - didn't get nauseous or anything - I did have trouble with the inverted poses, though, those are always the most challenging for me. Take care, Donna --- Pink wrote: > Well dang it, I have this [virgin] workout and I too > tire of endless > sun salutations. The only one I'm missing in this > series is the > second one, " Water " . Guest guest
but my only complaint was the total body premix b/c it didn't give me time to set up a few things like my incline step or my bar for chins ups Yes, I noticed this with the premixes too. I had time, but at some times I needed a little extra time but I still was able to do it. I won't be doing the chin ups, I'll tell ya that... I don't have that many risers. I have a total of 10 risers and I don't think I'd like setting all that up for that one exercise. I'll be doing something different when I get to that part. I was wondering after doing this one if her newer cardio workouts are good, do you know? See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage. Guest guest
this is a great workout michelle, but my only complaint was the total body premix b/c it didn't give me time to set up a few things like my incline step or my bar for chins ups. otherwise this is a unique workout. from the clip of slo-mo we are in for more great unique exercises. honestly i love cathe and i love amy but i watched cathe's clips on her site this morning and i am just not that impressed. certainly not with the cardio anyway. shame on me LOL i know but i can't help it. cathe has some great weight workouts that i would rather purchase(and cheaper) then to spend $80 on the new set. amy's i don't think i will be disappointed by what i see. i hope to hear more about cathe's 3 day split to compliment amys.kassia ldy_solana's domain Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don’t want to impress people they don’t like.-Will __________________________________________________

Guest guest
You know something? I thinkdoing P90X has decreased my endurance I know that I'm not really use to doing circuit or interval workouts all that often so when I do them, they really get me winded. I think if I done them on a regular basis they would become as easy as just straight cardio. I'm not overly fond of circuit workouts so that's why I don't do them too often. It seems like when I'm doing one and I get to weight section I'm winded and then going back to the cardio immediately following the weights I'm winded again. I get in a rut with my workouts and that's why rotations are so important however, I usually pick my own rotations and I think I tend to pick non circuit type rotations. This month is different.... I'm following someone else's plan so I'm kind of forced out of my little rut. I think it will be good for me. As far as endurance workouts, I like sticking with heavy weight training so I find them more difficult, but I NEVER get sore from doing them. I think the key is variety and changing our workouts often. Just my opinion. ~**~~**~Check out AOL Money Finance's list of the hottest products and top money wasters of 2007. Guest guest
Good job, ! You know something? I think doing P90X has decreased my endurance - well, maybe I shouldn't say that just yet - but this morning's workout with the weights kicked my butt - more so than any of the P90X workouts that I've done so far. The carido was moderate. Maybe I just wasn't feeling 100% due to being sleep deprived for two night, but who knows? I think it is the difference between doing circuits/awt and straight cardio/straight weights - in P90X there are no circuits and the weights are all done separately by body part. Maybe that is the reason? Take care, Donna --- fitgrl222@... wrote: > > Hi, > Today was the first day of the Dec rotation. I > have to say that it was a > lot of fun, but it kicked my butt. Guest guest
what cathe videos have good 30 minute upper body premixes on them? I have all the cathes, but seldom do premixes. Guest guest
Good job !!I BARELY did a workout yesterday, but I did it. I was so exhausted from the baptism and all it brought. I did ab bootcamp from . I would NOT recommend this one..LOL.. didn't enjoy it at all. It's a 35 minute workout that is all toning. I thought the reps were too much, and some of the stuff didn't feel very effective. Today, I did Kickbox Underground, which was a 35 minut workou and then I did Corey Everson Get Hard Arms again. This workout is so effective and short - I like to do it.This reminds me - what cathe videos have good 30 minute upper body premixes on them? I have all the cathes, but seldom do premixes. Do you know of any off the top of your head? Thanks! Darcy Here we go with another week!! This morning I did Firm Cardio. I was actually looking forward to doing this workout. I must say I really enjoyed it. It was a nice change from all the tough Cathe workouts. Love the variety in this workout, but hate the leg presses. I must admit, they aren't that bad in this one. I burned 349 calories which surprised me, I didn't think I'd burn that much. Really happy some Firm workouts are in this rotation.
