Guest guest
My son had his first flu shot right before he starting fevering. With the 1st flu shot, they ask that they go back & get a second shot. He had such a difficult time with the 1st shot, I refused to go back & get the second. It was about 2 weeks after his shot (and that fever) that he started his first fever & fevered regularly after that. Always wondered if there was any connection, but it is hard to tell. Guest guest
Hi Melody.... I gotta tell you that I did not notice my 3 yr olds regular fever cycles until AFTER the flu shot 2 yrs ago. She had it and within 2 weeks she started cycling 14 - 28 days. I blame that darn shot!!! I do not get her flu shots and her pediatrician fights with me each year... I personally believe this had everything to do with her fever cycles and will not ever get the flu shot again. I've never been able to get it myself b/c I am allergic to eggs and I never got the flu until I was 28 yrs old. I believe they've created such a scare tactic in order to make money....it's sickening really. Especially for those little ones that cannot handle the shot and were " made " to take it b/c it's " suggested " .
Guest guest
Mahalo for your feedback. I wanted to state that I think that my daughter's fevers are much more sever in sickness and duration after a flu shot, but I don't think that the flu shot or any vaccines are the cause of her . I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone else feels they shouldn't give their child the flu shot as well; being that they really don't get any regular illnesses anyway. Guest guest
, My daughter Emma also has had some viral illnesses as well. I have noticed that when she does have a mild cold it will sometimes resolve much faster than with her older brothers. If it is a more severe cold, lasting a week or so, she usually will skip her fever cycle, which is a fantastic break for all of us. I am happy that you sent in your post. I was beginning to wonder if there was something else going on with her. Nina, Mother of Emma,

Guest guest
I was so happy to read your email as well. My son is the same with his colds- they are not that severe and resolve quite quickly! I truly believe that there is much to learn about this syndrome and that every child reacts differently to it. We are seeing our Specialists at Sick Kids hospital in Toronto on May 7th, so I will follow up on the viral illness piece again. Regards, Mother to 3.5 years old- fevering since 8 months.
