Hi,

I am new to this group. I have a 15 month old daughter who has had four

episodes (perhaps more, but they would have occured with her monthly ear

infections) of high fevers spaced 15 - 16 days apart. She does not display any

other symptoms. She is miserable for three days straight. Tylenol doesn't

help, but Motrin will bring her fever down a degree or two. We brought this up

to the ped. at her 15 month check up and they immediatly did bloodwork and urine

tests...all came back normal. Now she is in the middle of the fourth episode of

fevers and we went back to the dr. He found nothing visually wrong with my

little one, and is sending us back for more bloodtests. He has ordered 15

tests! When we asked him about the periodic fever syndrome he said it is a

diangosis by elimination. He went on to mention juvenile rumitoid (sp?)

arthritis, leukemia, and neutrenia (sp?). We left in a bit of shock...has

anyone ever been put through these tests? Please share what you can. Thanks so

much!

Kerry
