We are three weeks away from a tonsillectomy, which I was so excited about because everything I've read shows that a tonsillectomy will most likely cure . However, my pediatrician just called with the dreadful news that Paige's ANA test results are sky high. They were high last year, but they're extremely high right now: 1:640, if that means anything to you. (Four times higher than they were a year ago.) My doctor said he didn't know if high ANA levels are a hallmark of . He said to hold off on the tonsillectomy until he can find out whether this may be a more serious illness like lupus. Have your children had ANA tests? If so, what were their results? Please tell me, because it doesn't seem like there are easily-accessible studies of children with . I'm so hopeful that is what she has. seems much more manageable than an auto- immune disorder. If your child who has has had the ANA test, please tell me what the results are.
