Hey Dorsey ~~

I was just wondering about how you were doing so it was good to see you post. How about an update on how you are doing as I would love to know.

For me, just being almost three weeks past tx, I have had a few flu like days since which were controlled by nausea medication, tylenol and extra water. Other than that I just have to pace myself as I am still gaining my strength and energy back. At least now I want to do things and am slowly adding things back into my schedule that I enjoy. I am still having to use the Procrit as my red blood count isn't back up to par but that's not bad and will only last a little while. I have two months of summer left before I get back to my college classes in the fall so I will use the time to keep recooperating.

Hi -- a lot of factors can cause hair loss... thryroid, high cholesterol, anemia, high or low estrogen. Your hair does not just start falling out for NO reason. Yes, medications can also make our hair thin and fall out-- as does treating HCV-- these medications will make our hair thin and fall out! But being on treatment we know why our hair is thinning and falling out.

Not on treatment and our hair suddenly starts to fall out --well-- that is not normal and you should see a doctor and have blood tests done to see why...

I'm on treatment and started losing my hair around wk 16 and it's been falling out thinning every since... and I'm definately not happy...but knowing that it is just part of the medication makes it a lot easier to handle the depression about it...

If I wasn't on treatement and this was happening I sure would want to know why!! what was my body doing to make this happen.. Good luck and if I can help let me know.. Dorsey
