Guest guest
Hi, my name is and I'm a mom of an 11 yr old boy with high functioning autism. He just started back in March of this year having 105 degree fevers lasting about 4-5 days each month since then. He has had so many tests (about $7500 worth!) and they just call it this fever syndrome. This month he got 3 fevers and we had finally tried the steroid given to us and one fever (while on vacation) was knocked out in hours. I had just read that the fevers could come back more frequently and yes they did. We are getting ready to have genetic testing. We are just beside ourselves because he's had 3 surgerys in his short life (one being open heart) and we just want to know what this is so we can tackle it. We are so worried about it being lifelong like I've read. Any advice or stories of everyones children going through it I'd love to hear. Thanks,
