Guest guest
that sounds like a REALLY decent lower body workout! How do you do the plie squats on the step, one leg on the step, one on the floor? I'd like to try those:-)

Guest guest
Good for you working out anyway and thanks for the inspiration! Wednesday workout Hi, This morning I got up with zero energy. had down cardio blast (premix #1) I actually questioned myself as to if I could even do that. I pushed myself and did it and man was I glad it wasn't too hard. In this premix she only does the plyo's one time through. I burned 361 calories. I'm glad its over. I finished with Shiva Rea Daily Energy and did the core and forward bend sections. Here's how it went: ASC3 warm up, combo 1, combo 2 ASC2- combo 1, combo 2, power ups ASC3- power ups, cool down This was fun except for on the power ups I got confused and didn't have a lot of room...PLUS, I FELL. I was starting the power ups on ASC3 and right at the beginning I was a little bit confused and down I went. I didn't hurt myself, thank God. If anyone could've seen me they would've laughed lol. I burned 564 calories. Off to get cleaned up and wait for UPS. ~*~~*~
Guest guest
Great job, - you are right though, this one is very hard on the back. I ended up trading this DVD for that reason!Donna From: fitgrl222@... <fitgrl222@...>Subject: Wednesday workoutCathe_Friedrich_Fans , Date: Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 9:13 AM Hi, This morning I went with SLO-MO Legs and did 2 Set Legs NRG PREMIX. I proceeded with this workout very cautiously. I knew I'd be modifying in places and that's what I did. This workout is killer on the back, especially when you already have a back that's not too friendly a lot of times. The 2 sets was better then 3. I think I did pretty good and my back felt OK throughout the workout. Sumo squats BB 40 (I put the bar on my shoulders as if to do just squats. My back felt much better like this. It took A LOT of the pressure off) Jefferson Squats (1) 20 3 sets (the DVD messed up here. next time stop I need to stop on the 2 sets. I added the 3rd because I already started doing the first side) Cradle side lunges 40 BB 1 set wobble hack squats 2 risers 15 2 sets ( I like this exercise) hammy rockers (high step w/ 2 risers) 10 2 sets glute wraps 20 BB 2 sets single leg squats ball (1) 10 DB I don't know if I'll get any DOMS and hopefully my back won't bother me later. I used 2 lbs)     This was tough. She doesn't stretch at all in this one so I had to do a couple stretches on my own. I wanted to do some of the extended stretch, but I just didn't have time.   I'm so happy I got it done so early. Off to get ready for school!!!  Have a great day!*~~*

So I knew I wasn't getting up at 5. I did get up at 6:30 though. This morning I did Step Moves and Ab Circuits (no equipment abs) I really enjoyed the step this time around. I didn't do all the knee ups. I'd say I did them every other time. I put in leg raises and hamstring curls. I liked that a lot better. Some of the combos in this workout are so fun, especially the one with the bow & arrow, love that one. The abs were great. I really felt those. Wasn't in love with the planks, but even got through all those. I burned 455 calories. Have a great day ~*~~*~

Guest guest
Maybe the treadmills are plotting against us! Spooky, LOL! Great job, funny, my treadmill mysteriously started working again, too. I hope to be back on it tomorrow or at least be able to do an outdoor walk tomorrow. So far, resting my back today has proven to be a good idea, it feels better than it has in a week, so maybe I did just need to take a day off! Donna To: exercisevideos Sent: Thu, October 28, 2010 8:33:54 AMSubject: Wednesday workout I did 45 minutes on the treadmill, which suddenly started working correctly. That's an " easy " workout, which I do for cardio alone. Why 45? Because that's how long an hour TV show lasts without commercials. I crank the treadmill up to the fastest walk I can do. I can't really run or jog because of back and foot pain. I built a shelf in front of the treadmill where I can plop my laptop and watch tv while walking. I have to be careful not to sweat all over the keyboard! Indyrose
Guest guest
Good morning! I've been wanting to try Slide & Glide from day one of getting these workouts, but I wasn't sure how my furniture movers would work so I grabbed some paper plates just in case. I actually started out with the paper plates and they didn't work any better. I ended up doing all the workout without any disks, furniture movers or paper plates except for the lunges and the moving pushups, I did use my FM for those. I did all the same moves as Cathe but made them bigger so most of it I was high impact. For the jumping jacks I did actual jumping jacks, same for all the rest of it. I kept my FM near by for the leg work and then I tossed them when she went back to the bigger cardio moves. I can guarantee those of you that aren't crazy in love with the disk would have so much more fun without them in this one. In my opinion, there are some moves that aren't even necessary to use the disk, the stretch being one of them. This is how I will do the workout from now. I used my tied band for the parts where she used her loop and it worked OK, but for the floor legs, triceps and biceps it just didn't last long enough to get any real burns so I might skip that next time. Here are my numbers: Calories: 347 Avg: 131 Max: 174 Steps: 2700 I'd like to compare my numbers with some of you that have them and used the disks. Have a great day!~
