Guest guest Posted February 3, 2009 Report Share Posted February 3, 2009 You should have protection under the FMLA law if you've worked for your employer for more than 12 consecutive months. I would talk with your HR office as soon as possible. You get up to 12 weeks of either continuous or intermittant leave to take care of a sick dependent (or yourself) for a chronic or one-time illness.
