what to expect with prednisone

My 2 1/2 year old daughter Meghan is due to have a fever on Sunday and for the

first time I will be giving her prednisone I was wondering if anyone could tell

me what to expect. Should I expect no fever but the other symptoms like not

eating, tummy ache, mouth sores?

Dr. Licameli is removing her tonsils on July 8th so we are giving her the

prednisone so we don't have to give her 8 days (how long her fevers last) of

motrin before the surgery.

Also any advice on how to prepare a 2 1/2 year old for surgery and a night in

the hospital? I can't even explain how much I'm stressing over this. I can

only hope I'm making the right decision for her.
