Guest guest
awesome workout. i believe she has that on her fat burning classics dvd i only really want that dvd for this workout. but watching clips of fat burning pilates there are some similar moves so i will have to let you know that when i try the pilates one. the moves were simple stuff but i found them to work quite well with low impact. hopefully cathe will be here tomorrow. i here some of her newers are low impact at least travel fit and MMA boxing aside from some leg drills. plus they are saying intensity isn't ultra high for MMA as she usually is so i think these are totally doable for most intermediate/advanced exercisers. kassia
Guest guest
HAAAAA! Today I was normal for an off day and got up at 11AM. Of course we didn't go to bed till 3. We're night people. ;-) a > > Today I was lazy and didn't get up until 8:30, I can't remember the last time I ever slept in that long, of course I did stay up til 1 AM but still am usually up early. I just finished up doing Kathy Fat Burning Workout. I had never done this one before, I really liked it. This is one of her older ones but they put them on DVD and I bought a bunch of different ones. I am so glad everyone is having fun receiving their Cathe DVD's in the mail, I am happy everyone treated themselves to a healthy Christmas gift. Maybe someday I will get those but for right now they are just way too far above my level. Have a great day everyone. Enjoy your workouts. > > in CA > > No virus found in this outgoing message. > Checked by AVG - www.avg.com > Version: 8.5.430 / Virus Database: 270.14.117/2583 - Release Date: 12/23/09 08:28:00 >
Guest guest
, you can always do your own arms instead of what they show for step - good for you for modifying that! The legwork is the most important part.I mostly use ankle weights for Firm workouts and also in Jari Love's Ripped I think you use them. They are good to have around! I did the Kathy Step workout again. Last time I only did the beginner portion and fast forwarded through the intermediate and advanced to the cool down. Today I did the whole thing, although on the intermediate portion I gave up on the arms a little bit because I am just so not coordinated. I did do arms, just not like how she was doing them LOL. I felt okay doing the whole thing so I will do this one a few more times all the way through with no risers and then I will add in one set of risers. Oh yeah and I did skip the ab section cuz I just wasn't in the mood for doing abs. On Monday even though I didn't work out, I did read a book called Fitness for Dummies, it was an older version from 1996. I did learn a lot from it though. I would like to find a newer version, this older one doesn't even mention ellipticals in the machine chapter, they must not have been around then, I don't know. It also has a section on workout tapes (VHS of course) and notes which instructors they thought were the best. I also got a book called Workouts for Dummies but I haven't read that one yet. Well, so sorry for writing a novel today but that is what's up with me. Oh and I found a pair of ankle weights at the thrift store today for a dollar for the set, I think they are probably around 2 pounds each, they seem to heavy to me, does anyone use ankle weights and if so, for what? Have a great day everyone. in CA
Guest guest
, I'm a klutz right there with you. Sometimes I can use tubing, most times not. 's Bootcamp was a nightmare for me. Too painful to use. a Who needs to have those Gilad workouts too. > > > A couple weeks ago I had asked where to get Gilad workouts. Someone (sorry I can't remember who) told me to go to YaYa's board. I did that and have been hooked ever since. I got two Gilad workouts and did one of them tonite. It was Gilad Ultimate Body Sculpt Series Cuts & Curves. I really enjoyed this workout. It uses the resistance tubing and dumbbells. I seem to have a problem with the tubing in that I end up all banged up from where it hits me and rubs on me. I have a rebounder with the tubing and it does the same thing. I guess I'm just a klutz. This workout has a 15 min. warm up, 39 minutes of strength training and a 6 min. cooldown. For me, this is definitely a keeper. It was kind of amusing as Gilad kept playing with his hair thruout as if it was blowing wildly in the wind and it really wasn't. I thought it was cute. Guest guest
Hi , Great job on the workouts - in spite of the stress!Donna From: Navarro <navarrosarah@...>Subject: 's Wednesday workoutnavarrosarah@...Date: Wednesday, July 7, 2010, 3:24 PM Hi all, I forgot to post my workout this morning. One of my sparkpeople teams, the FitTV team is having a challenge this month so that is why I have been doing all these FitTV workouts. Today was another Gilad workout. I really do love these workouts and since I may get a paycut I can't buy anything right now so I will just use what I have for awhile until this mess is straightened out. Today's workout was about 45 minutes total after I fastforwarded the commercials. For some reason today this one was much harder than usual, maybe I am more tired, I don't know. There was a lot of jab cross, hook, uppercut stuff going on and it really kicked my butt, but I sure felt good when I was done. Since I did a lot of stress eating yesterday, I may do some more working out later tonite on the elliptial, treadmill or bike, not sure yet. Have a great day everyone. Guest guest
Oh I like Galardi's workouts. The more dance workouts you do the easier they get, trust me. I bet if you give it a second try you'll be at least 50% better at it! For me it's a matter of familiarity with the steps and repetition, and I do have a learning curve with these. Mambo cha cha cha! Today was Dance Groove workout on All Star Workouts on FitTV with Galardi. I wasn't really crazy about it as I hate dancey workouts. I am not very coordinated and I never remember the choreography very well. I just did the best I could and did some jogging during the parts I couldn't figure out. I still got in a pretty good workout altogether. It was about 45 minutes total. in CA

Guest guest
Ugh! Sorry to hear that, !! Hope things are looking up now!Donna Subject: 's Wednesday workoutTo: navarrosarah@...Date: Thursday, August 19, 2010, 1:24 AM Today was a very bad day for me. I went to work and the other two girls in my office both called in sick. I was the only secretary for all three of the big bosses and they were really driving me batty. I made it through the rotten work day and came home and then my husband got me going. He is here all day long at home while I am at work, he doesn't work as he is disabled. I just wanted to watch TV and enjoy the peace and quiet when I got home. He had 5 of the 6 grandkids here when I got home. For some reason he had to wait until I sat down to watch TV to decide to vacuum the carpet in the living room where I was sitting. I asked him why he couldn't do that earlier, he said because it's too hard with the kids here. I said, then why did you bring all the kids over here, that's why they have parents at home. After I yelled at him for the vacuuming, he went outside and started up the noisy lawnmower which made the two smallest kids scream like crazy because they are scared of the lawnmower. I finally made the two oldest grandkids take the little ones back home to their house. I started on my workout, Voight burn & firm, and then right in the middle of that, my husband walked in and said I'm very sorry honey. He never apologizes so right away I'm suspicious. I said "sorry for what?" We have had repeated conversations that I don't want him to do my laundry as he always messes it up and makes me even more work. He doesn't hang it up, he just throws it in the basket and then I have to iron my work clothes, or rewash them and hang them up again. Then he said, I'm sorry again and showed me my favorite work shirt, it's a real pretty pastel pink shirt that is just so comfy. It is totally stained up and has black spots all over it. I have no idea what he did to it. I really wanted to take that 7 lb. dumbell I was using and just hit him upside the head with it. And then when he should have just started stepping on away from me, he just keeps standing there looking stupid and apologizing. I really lost my cool, paused the DVD and let him have a good tongue lashing with some not so nice language. He is still hiding in the bedroom and that was several hours ago. I am still p* & ssed at him. I did finish up this Workout, but I really didn't like it. To be fair though, I just wasn't all that into it today and it was late, it was hot and I was in a very bad mood. All that being said though, I don't think I would have liked it anyways. Sorry for the long novel. I sure hope tomorrow goes better. Good nite all. in CA

Guest guest
Working out under " crappy " situations... really makes you stronger (on the inside of course, which matters the most!)  BE PROUD!  D  Today was sooo hot, 112F. It is 10:38 PM right now, I just finished working out and it is still 95 degrees outside. This heat is really getting to me, especially with not being able to use the AC. I was already going to go to bed at 9:30, but then I remembered the 60 minutes per day challenge that I joined on Sparkpeople. I got up off my butt, and although I didn't have much to give, I popped in the Sansone 3 mile express walk. This is the one with the stretchy bands. I used the heavy resistance band for that portion and I used my one pound weighted gloves throughout the whole workout. It wasn't too bad in front of the swamp cooler, but that is all I could muster for today. It's supposed to be 108 again tomorrow, but it is supposed to start cooling down a little this weekend. I have to go to bed now as I have to get up at 5:00 to get ready for work.  Good night, in CA

Guest guest
Wow , your workouts have really gone up in intensity lately - from Kathy to Jari Love! GOOD WORK, GIRL!! This morning I did Jari Get Ripped & Chiseled. I am not sure if it was because I did it at 5:00 Am or what, but this one seemed a hecka lot harder than the other ones. This one started out with the lunges on the step, I have never done those before and oh my gosh my buns were hurting. then the push ups in this one were the pulse push ups, way harder that the other Jari's I've done so far. Everything in this one seemed so hard. I ended up having to take a few very short breaks during this one that I didn't have to in the others. The overhead lifts or presses or whatever they are also were extra killer today. I also didn't like the cool down in this one. I worked extra hard in this one and the cool down section is where I usually relax and enjoy, but in today's cool down, it didn't seem like she was giving it her all. She was busy talking to the others about themselves and whatever. I didn't feel like listening to all that chat, I enjoy those things don't get me wrong, but I like to watch them seperate from the workout, not in the middle of my cool down. Overall, I love this workout, as it gives me something to work towards which is good, but I just wish the cool down was better. I'm at work now, so I can't stay on long. Have a great day everyone. in VA
