Re: The biopsy results are in

Honey with all we go through and ahead for us it is unrealistic to think we will have all good positive days or need to hold it all in not need to vent in group have a safe place outlet with supportive people friends that understand us. We wouldn't be much of a truthful support group and to our members if we didn't also stress the whole HCV liver disease related medical issues the truths for everyone to be better prepared realistic about their lives with HCV.

It is not being negative being realist living in the real world out of denial for our best outcomes and being a better HCV Survivor for Life clear or not.

Many members have found we don't sugarcoat or downplay how serious a dx of HCV is for us. We support in truthful positive ways for the better for everyone. A person that stays to far in denial is only hurting themselves usually doesn't last long with us can't handle the truths about HCV and for themselves.

I think the worst we can do for members is downplay it all than have them post in group hurt saying why didn't you tell me and be honest with me.

If we gave it our all on tx and did not clear or had to be medically pulled of tx for very serious or dire medical related problems we have not failed the HCV tx meds have failed us. We did our best all that we and others can ask of us. We shouldn't live with any harmful regrets and stress from it. Also for members that did clear on tx we are so happy for them. We love success stories. They should never feel guilty for it and that we did not clear or we are in later stages than them.

Please keep us regularly updated about you and how it is for you on tx.

Yes you will need to pace yourself very carefully tx in cirrhosis stages can be more to handle and more difficult. I'm sure your Dr's will and should watch you more closely while on tx and for progressions. Yes it is much harder to clear in late cirrhosis stages and geno 1's but it has been done by our members. We also have members in late stages that did not remain a long term responder but very important tx did back them up stage and grade improved scaring complications bought them more precious time from progressions.

even being many years from transplant was a failed responder but by his bx after tx he backed up stage grade and feels better.

We will never know unless we try tx.

If we give up give in we have lost the battle and fight for life.

All The Best To You.
