I used the word 'remedy' and then wondered about what homeopathy has to say about migraines, and whether there might be hope in homeopathic medicine for you. You may or may not know that homeopathic medicine is the medicine of choice for the English royal family and many other notables. It was discovered by a physician who was tired of making folks sicker. He found the thesis 'like cures like' in Heraclites, and developed a system of medicine very different from the one we use here in the U.S.

I was lucky to find a homeopathic physician who is also an M.D., and thus covered by Medicare.

Schooling in homeopathy takes many years, and seems to be an art as well as a minute science.

In homeopathy, in order to choose the best 'remedy', one must learn much about who the patient is. Thus the visits, at least at first, must be quite long.

The 'constitutional' homeopathic physician will look for the remedy that will bring the WHOLE of you closer to health. Some folks also take short courses to learn something about homeopathy, and would just look in the book for a remedy that sounds like it might work. One might be lucky and get the best help, but usually the best route is with the homeopath who is more highly trained.

One way in which homeopathy is different is that taking more does NOT help, and in fact may make things worse. The remedies although very dilute in reality, are quite powerful when rightly prescribed. But taking it like aspirin, with more can in fact bring on the problem.

PLUS an $8 bottle of a single rememdy could last for years and is usually sold over the counter (if you can find where sold)

I am NOT an expert in ANY of this, and just found the following by Goggle: for any who might be interested:

Have you tried increasing your topamax. I am on 200mg.

Also, Botox injections stopped my migraines. I was having 3-4 a week, couldn't look at light, listen to sound, Mike's voice, you name it. Botox was my miracle, mention it to your doc and see what he thinks.

Hope you get to feeling better!
