Guest guest
Nic... Addictions... I know all about them. I am definately going to become a plastic surgery junkie. I already have a plan to get my nose done in the New Year... long story, you probably don't think it needs to be done, but the bulbous end of my nose has annoyed the heck out of me for years - and my nostrils are way to wide. My nose is the same width as my mouth! Now I know this is silly and egotistical for me to thinking along these lines, but I have made the decision that is going to be done. I think this will be the beginning of me finding the right surgeon for my new addiction! I have the name of one who is going to work in conjunction with Dr God, but I know of another fellow up here that is known as the boob doctor and does great reconstructive work on boobies... so I might start with an appointment with him and see where it goes. I know, pathetic to go down this track, but the older I get, and now that I am loosing a wee bit of weight, my nose is starting to look volcanic on my face. Guest guest
Mel I know it's hard to make peace sometimes with the things we have to look at each day that annoy us. I hate my freckles – only because I have not been in the sun for years and they have never faded. My sister is the same however hers have all but gone. Why? I know if I went and got peels and laser I could get rid of them, but it's a question of time and money. So I have come to terms with them, plus there are people that tell me how `cute' they are. So I guess you see, whilst I don't think your nose needs work – you think so. No need for me to tell you to just be sensible in what you expect the outcome to be and don't expect me to hold back if you keep going back for a bit more of a chop and end up like ! LOL, I don't think you will but us addictive personality types are like that you know!!! One thing I learnt last night that I thought was interesting was the breast reconstruction he can do using the underarm/ side fat. He can sometimes use this in reconstructing the boob in a lift rather than using implants. Rather nice idea I though – puts that unwanted blubber into a whole new category for me. When I look down at my unsightly rolls I can think – potential boob that bit there, lol. Plus the pain, I was looking at those cuts and thinking PAIN CENTRAL when you want to go to the loo. Sitting down and getting back up would be the worst, I would have to have a stand up loo. Nx
Guest guest
Over on the Ausbandit site the folk have been chatting and going through their reconstruction surgery. Some of the folks have lined up again for a tummy tuck etc as they have lost weight since their first one and have needed further surgery etc. Many of these folks who are having work redone are highly recommending that people wait after reaching goal weight tp allow for their skin to catch up with the loss before having the surgery if they do not want to have to line up again for surgery or go in for touch up job. Even a lose of 8kgs can be dramatic in some of these surgery. From what I understand it can take 6 to 12 months for the skin to catch up to the overall loss. As much as I would be keen to get the surgery done after reaching goal, not sure I could line up again for surgery or want to go in touch up job. The rate I going I wont be ready for such surgery until mid 2008 if I lucky. As for the apron flap, with the hotter weather increasing up here I have had to change my knickers to cotton knickers as I been getting a nasty rash more often. The downside to this that the elastic knickers I was wearing and giving my tummy support is not there anymore and I feel like my tummy is right down to my knees. Such a horrible feeling Cheers kerry from Darwin > > > Well last night my Dr God (Brancatisano) had a seminar on plastic/ > reconstructive surgery for people after massive weight loss. Guest guest
Kerry, Thank you for putting the angel into its own photo box. I do hope she is not too lonely on her own. I can now pop in and get a bit of her magic dust whenever I need it. Guest guest
Hi I read this post with great interest. I for one can not afford a tummy tuck, breast lift, thighs and arms to be done. Here it is all you have to pay for it yourself our medical insurance does not pay for reconsrtuction after weight loss. The only surgery they will pay for is if your eyelids drop so far as to cover your vision. So knowing that, I have moistured everything, twice a day and that has helped the skin a lot. Also I am lifting weights to try and build the muscle under the skin to be in better condition. I will never have a bikini body but what the heck just seeing the difference that this hard work is doing in improving my body has been wonderful. I also have been doing lost of core strengthening exercises as I am sure everything inside has dropped as well with the weight loss and that has help with getting me stronger. I do my excerise at home with a personal trainer who comes to my house for one hour, my weights cost me $65 and I have a swiss ball and a mat for the ground. Cost wise, it is cheaper than going to the gym and ever exercise I do is designed to work on my target areas. My trainer also is an ex fatty, so understands the problems we have. I really would like to encourage all of us to try and do some exercise, walking and mositurise your skin. It really does make a difference. BUT as the ad on TV says, it does not happen overnight, just like with our bands, weight loss does not happen overnight but your body can tone up a bit with working at it but I for one never think mine will be perfect, but I try to be the best me I can be and I am very happy with that. I am so looking forward to catching up with you all again, I miss you all so much Love Cheryl in NZ _________________________________________________________________ Need more speed? Guest guest
I went into the chemist to get the zinc powder yesterday only to be told that they do not get it anymore - quote they do not made it any more. I ended up walking out with some baby powder that is cornstarch based. I put it on last night after a shower and wowwwwwwww, how lovely does it feel on. When at our big shopping centre this weekend, I will check out Priceline. Guest guest
Kerry... I don't beleive that! I will have a check around my local chemists and see if I can get you some. It is so cheap compared to the other brands. Cure-rash is another one that might be good, in the baby section at the supermarket. And there is another one called Prantal powder, but it is expensive from memory. My boys use it when they are wearing their kilts because their poor tender inner thighs get sweaty - wimps LOL! Guest guest
Mel, thanks for the offer but I will look at our big shopping centre. Even if you got it, would cost a arm and leg and its not really worth it. I will check the baby area out at Woolies tonight also. thanks for the offer mate. Guest guest
Hi Mel Will call soon, as would love to hear the info on the GODS! However I have a question, I have minimal hunger and all you guys do is talk about food. Is that what happens later on? Guest guest
Hi Janey... If you are not hungry... that is absolutely fantastic! Go with it. I am not always hungry, well not really hungry, just head hungry. I can stare that fridge for hours at a time, not really wanting anything, but thinking I need something. It is all a head thing with me. So... I would be thrilled if I could be not hungry in head or stomach. Enjoy it, and hope that it lasts.
