Guest guest
Hi All, Today was a very rewarding day for me. The 7 bridges walk was excellent and I feel very proud of my achievement. Mum and I started at Milson's Point and walked our way over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and then the Pyrmont Bridge. We stopped for lunch at Darling Harbour and then made our way to the Anzac Bridge. By this stage I was getting tired. I was experiencing pain in my left ankle, then my right knee and finally my left hip. Thankfully the pains came and went and we were determined that we were going to make it over the Iron Co bridge so we could get the ferry back. Of course the walk from the Anzac to Birkenhead was by far the longest section. We soldiered on and had to have a few little pit stops to get our breath, but we did make it. The ferry ride from Birkenhead Point to Milsons Point was great. We sat out the back up the top in the cool breeze and enjoyed watching all the yachts and harbourside activity. It was a long day. I left home at 9am and got home just after 5pm. I had a massive headache for 3 hours after getting home and have just got out of the bath; a relaxing spa was just what I needed. I am anticipating lots of aches and pains when I wake up tomorrow but I will rejoice in the memory of a great day. I do feel exhausted but oh so proud of myself. With any luck the scales will also reward me for my efforts- keep your fingers crossed for me! Today was such a success, so hopefully this will be an annual event. I will be back again next year and hopefully I will have some more company for the day ļ Off to bed now, best wishes to all...... B p.s I am just about to upload some photos from today
