Guest guest
Hm Dont think I said that right!, it meant to say how come you were vomiting blood? Guest guest
Janey... Unfortunately I think the problem with poor Kristie was a lack of chewing. Of course things can happen... food if not chewed enough can get stuck - usually it reverses itself back out and the problem is solved. But, it can also get stuck and won't go down and won't come out. This is rare and I have not heard of it happening very often. Usually the doctor will remove any fill asap and the problem is fixed. Guest guest
Hi Janey, I don't think the bleeding I had is all that common - in fact, I've never heard of it before and that's a reason why I was so worried. And to be honest it really was my own fault as I did not chew the chicken nearly as much as I should have. Who is your surgeon?? The important thing to remember is if you have any severe problems, get to the hospital or your surgeon and get the fill removed immediately and 95% of the time this will fix things. As soon as the fill was taken out of my band I stopped vomiting and have been fine ever since. > > Hi I am about to have my banding surgery, and I am worried now about > this situation. Guest guest
I am glad to hear that you are doing well Kristie. My Surgeon is Dr Brancatisano and I hear now that he is going to the Central Coast! I hear that he has a good reputation and a great support team. Guest guest
Is he the surgeon through Circle of Care?? A friend of mine was banded by him and she is 7 months post op and has lost about 50kg. It is alot but it has started to slow down now and she's actually going in for a fill tomorrow. Also she has another 50kg to go. > > > > > > Hi I am about to have my banding surgery, and I am worried now > > about > > > this situation. How come you were you were blood? Guest guest
I thought that vomiting it back up was from over eating, not just not chewing (from the information i have read) janey > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > > > Well I've had my first unpleasant experience with my band and boy > > > was it a doozy! > > > > > > Managed my dinner fine last night as I normally always do - the > > > worst I've had is an indigestion feeling that passes after about 5 > > > mins. Guest guest
Yes the very same. I am very impressed with the support team that they have available. Everyone is always have to chat if I have any questions. Its time consuming with appointments, but i think it will be worth it to have the support that I need. janey > > > > > > > > Hi I am about to have my banding surgery, and I am worried now > > > about > > > > this situation.
