Oh how sad !!!!! I'm sorry you had to go through such a thing, but

glad that your little girl had you.

Yes, I can understand that . I can totally see where an experience

like that could be the impetus to doing the great things you've done with the

other kids. Still, you are to be commended; lots of people would not have

taken the risk again. It IS true though, isn't it? How life's hard and

even bad experiences shape the people we are, the decisions we make later,

and the way we live our lives. That's truly why we have to accept the bad

with the good, right?!?!?

Donna,

Actually if Beth had not spent so much time in the hospital and passed on in

the end we probably would not have gone on to adopt all the other kids. It

certainly made us very aware.

& Garry, parents of (11 ds), (10 ds), JJ (8

ds/autism/celiac), (7 ds/ADHD/Celiac), and Esther (5 ds). All adopted.

Donna,

Yes and some times it feels like more bad than good. We have done so much

in the last 12 years or so. 2 girl have died, 5 heart surgeries for the

kids, (I have had 2 at 17 and 23), tube feeding for 9 years, Autism,

ADHD............I culd go on but don't want to bore anyone. Or have anyone

raise me to sainthood. But my kids have given back to me in joys many

times more than the bad times. They make me smile every day.
